1. "Hibernate" by Throats: "We toured with Throats last September/October. They are my favourite UK band right now. I love how they go from fast, thrashy stuff to out and out, straight-up heavy sections. This song pretty much encapsulates everything they are right now."
3. "Warm Signal" by Apparat: "A beautiful piano track - cut up, reversed, delayed, with noisy synths and clicky beats. Epic stuff."
4. "Candyman" by Christina Aguilera: "She has an intense voice and this song is amazing and a lot of fun to dance to."
5. "The Explorers" by CFCF: "Having done remixes for loads of folk last year, CFCF has recently released his own EP of really poppy and inventive electronic music. Very '80s-sounding stuff and dead good fun."
6. "My Girls" by Animal Collective: "One of my favourite tracks of '09 so far. I think their new record is the sound of a band peaking and nailing exactly what they've been trying to do for years."
7. "The Vague Archive" by Grammatics: "One of the best UK bands around at the moment. They write huge sounding songs with loads going on. It's all held together with soaring vocals and undeniable melodies. They're debut album is out soon, well worth a listen!"
