Bigger role for Lauren Laverne, please
I'm surprised Lauren appears to be the bit of fluff at the front, looking pretty while the boys do the serious stuff. Still, Mitchell and Brooker are on top form, and Jimmy Carr's funny, even though he's not usually my cup of tea.
And left-wing bias - no, there's just four people who have minds of their own. If you want to have "balanced" viewpoints, switch over to Sky News after you've finished watching this, for a quick dose of reactionary right-wing polemic.
Who told Lauren Laverne she was funny?!
This show isn't a bad attempt to do a UK version of The Daily Show, and Carr, Brooker and Mitchell are fairly consistently funny. My big question is what makes Lauren Laverne think she's suddenly a stand-up comedian? She comes over as a nice sort, but has no funny bones or comedy experience whatsoever, especially when alongside professional comedians. A funny and talented stand-up like Jo Caufield would've been a much better choice as the 4th member.
