CleanGod's contract's: Part 6 | [Dean Kitchener] This sixth part in the series looking at the covenants that God made with man looks at the land covenant that God made with Moses and the Israelites. This was essentially a reaffirmation of the land promise in the covenant that God made with Abraham. This aspect of the covenant with Abraham is repeated throughout the Old Testament, particularly in the Prophets. From these we find prophecies speaking of the global dispersion of Israel, the regathering back to the promised land and possessing of the entire land, and conversion of the nation. The fulfilment of this we expect in the future. | 24 7 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanMephibosheth | [Chris Day] The Old Testament is full of examples of God's love, and the story of Mephibosheth is one of them. He was a cripple, but King David wanted to bless him because he was Johnathon's son. This reflects how we were all spiritual cripples, but the King of Kings Jesus, came so that we might be blessed. This sermon shows some of the different aspects of God's love that we can see through Mephibosheth. | 17 7 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGod's contract's: Part 5 | [Dean Kitchener] In this fifth part of a series looking at God's covenants with man we look at the covenant with Moses. This one of the two principal covenants and is sometimes called the covenant of works. It is a conditional covenant between God and Israel that contains a total of 613 commandments. The apostle Paul tells us that the purpose of the 'Law' was so that we should be conscious of sin. Indeed, a knowledge of God's standard for life makes it crystal clear that none of us can live up to it. Thank God that Jesus is the end of the Law and that we are made righteous not by works but by grace. | 10 7 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanNot ashamed! | [Dean Kitchener] This sermon was given for a baptismal service. Baptism is a very public declaration that you are not ashamed of Jesus and presents a fantastic opportunity for every Christian to remind themselves of why we can confidently make a stand for Him. The gospel tells the wonderful truth of the resurrection of Jesus, His absolute mastery over death, His readiness to forgive us, so that we can put to death the old self and live for Jesus. | 3 7 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGod's contracts Part 4 | [Dean Kitchener] This sermon is the fourth part in a series about the covenants that God made with man. This one looks at the covenant that God made with Abraham. This is an unconditional covenant that God has bound himself to that includes promises for Abraham and his physical descendents (Israel), as well as a phenomenal promise for the entire world. Because the covenant is unconditional it means that it is still in force. In our day the promise for all nations to be blessed through Abraham is being fulfilled through the gospel, and we can be sure that the unfulfilled promises for Israel will come to pass too. | 26 6 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGod's contracts Part 3 | [Dean Kitchener] This sermon is the third part in a series about the covenants that God made with man. This one looks at the covenant that God made with Noah after the flood. As in Eden, God told Noah to populate the earth and extended the earlier covenant after the fall. He allowed Noah to include animals in his diet, and began to introduce elements of human government, in particular capital punishment for murderers. The story of Noah is also a terrifying picture of the reality of God's wrath and judgment. It is a foreshadowing of his judgment at the end of days, and leaves us in no doubt that God is a righteous God who hates sin. The ark brings us hope that his salvation is also real, for those that He deems to be righteous. In our case, all those who belong to Jesus. | 12 6 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGod's contracts Part 2 | [Dean Kitchener] This sermon is the second part in a series about the covenants that God made with man. The first was in Eden, and was made just after God created man. That was a conditional covenant, and with a little help from the devil Adam and Eve soon broke the terms and got kicked out of Eden. The second covenant was made directly after the fall. It was unconditional and nowhere near as pleasant as the first. However, despite the 'bad news' in this covenant, there is also the first prophecy to reveal God's plan of salvation. The rest of the Bible unfolds that plan. | 29 5 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanGod's contracts Part 1 | [Dean Kitchener] The Bible is such a monumental work that sometimes it is easy to lose sight of the big picture and get stuck in the detail. It is useful to split it into chunks and a useful way to do that is to study the covenants of God with man. There are eight altogether, and combined they give a good initial grasp of what the Bible is sayingas a whole. In this sermon we take a look at the first covenant that God made with man in the garden of Eden. This a useful study about origins; the origin of the universe, the origin of man, and the origin of sin. It is the first part of a series of eight. | 22 5 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanLove God, love the poor | [Dean Kitchener] As you read through God's Word, time and again you find that He has a real heart for the poor. More than that, He wants everybody to have a heart for the poor, and to be 'open-handed' and generous towards them. We might ask 'Who are the poor?', but in most cases it is pretty obvious. There are those who are so poor that they have only enough for basic survival. Such people definitely need our help. Then there are those who have a very low income in the culture in which they live such that they become socially excluded. In both cases people can feel unloved and believe that they have no worth. God values every person, and He calls on His people to do all that they can to help the poor. As Jesus said; "Whatever you do for the least of one of these - you did for me!" Let's do it for Jesus. | 15 5 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanA good man? | [Paul Ilderton] The Bible tells us that King Uzziah was a good king. He did what was right in the eyes of God, as had his father. He had a good example and he followed it. It is important that we are good examples as Christians, even if we have not had good role models ourselves. As Christians, we have the ultimate role mode in Jesus, and he is the one that we should seek to emulate. Unfortunately for Uzziah, his power eventually went to his head. Pride got the better of him and he violated God's law. The result was that he became leprous, and lived the rest of his life in isolation. God hates pride and it will isolate us too unless we stay humble as continue always to do what is right in God's eyes. | 8 5 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThe need for a fresh self-appraisal | [Chris Day] We need to see again what God wants to highlight. An encounter with God can reveal that which has been hidden in the deep recesses of our hearts, which causes us to cry out "Woe to me, I am ruined". God will direct us to those areas that need cleansing. In Isaiah's encounter with God in the temple, the live coal speaks of the cleansing work of Jesus, and this was applied to the lips; the area of wrongdoing. We all need to listen to the voice of the Lord, and respond with obedience. That is what will bring blessing, and direction to our lives. | 10 4 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanOur God heals! | [Dean Kitchener] In Mark 16 Jesus promised that there would be various signs that would accompany those that believe. One of those signs was that 'they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover'. This promise is for all believers, which means that we should expect to have a ministry where we see the sick being healed. This sermon uses the story of the cripple healed at the Beautiful gate by Peter and John to remind us that God heals. In the story, found in Acts 3, a man crippled from birth is healed as Peter and John command him to walk 'in the name of Jesus'. In Acts 2 they had received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost to empower them for service. Now they walked in faith and expectancy, believing for the signs that Jesus promised would accompany their ministry. They saw a cripple, they exercised the authority that had been given to them (the name of Jesus) and they commanded the man to walk. The man walked, and both the man, and Peter and John, gave all glory to God. Our God the same yesterday, today and forever. Expect these signs to accompany you too as you walk in the faith and authority He has given to us! | 3 4 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanMore than conquerors | [Dean Kitchener] In Romans chapter 8 Paul asks a very challenging question when he says "Who shall separate us from the love of God? Will trouble or hardship or persecution or nakedness or famine or danger or sword?" The tone of the passage is such that no other answer can be given except a resounding "No!" In this triumphal passage Paul declares that we are more than conquerors, and there is no question that all of us can be exactly that. Standing firm in our faith in the midst of suffering can be extremely difficult, but we know it is possible because Paul did it! Not only Paul, but many other men of faith through the Old and New Testament, and many through Christian history tell us time and time again that we can be more than conquerors in the face of suffering. This sermon looks at how we can do this. | 20 3 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanChange your world | [Paul Weaver] God desires His people to change the world. If we take a moment to think about how we might change someone's world for the better, almost certainly, whatever we think of will involve giving in some way. In this sermon, the parable of the good Samaritan reminds us that we can change the world if we are willing to see the needs of others, stop the journey that we are on for a moment, and go out of our way to help them. People respond when we show them love, especially when they have done nothing to deserve it. It can have even more impact when we do something for a complete stranger anonymously, so that they know that there are no strings attached to what we have done. This sermon challenges us to change our world by being givers, and by simply taking the opportunities that we have to bless those people that we come into contact with in our daily walk. Go on - change your world today!! | 13 3 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanSatan desires to sift you | [Chris Day] As Christians, we will all go through difficult times because we live in a fallen world. Satan is out to destroy the faith of Christians, but the good news is that he has to ask permission! He sees Christians as chaff that can be sifted and blow away by the wind of adversity. Jesus responds by interceding for us to rise up in power. He prays that our faith will not fail, and we receive the answer when we truly repent so that we can receive God's mercy and grace. We can also serve as the Lord's instruments to one another as we daily encourage and support one another, showing the Lord's love in our midst. | 6 3 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanHearing God's voice | [Godfred Adomako] God in His wisdom created mankind for fellowship through which He demonstrates His power. His desire is to bring His will on earth. He sent Jesus to demonstrate a life that constantly dwells on the Word of God hence releasing God's authority on earth. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice." The child of God must make a conscious effort to hear God's voice. God speaks to His children in many ways - the written Word, visions, dreams, signs and wonders, prophecies, etc. When the Word of God comes it is in the form of a seed, and for a seed to grow it needs the right environment and that releases faith for dominion and authority. Hearing God's voice is not a proof of your spirituality but the foundation. Let's position ourselves to hear God's voice and enjoy His fellowship and everything that He has to offer. | 27 2 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanBuild on ROCK | [Dean Kitchener] Jesus said that the person that puts His words into practice is like a wise man who built His house on the rock. He was trying to tell us that obedience to His word leads to unshakeable faith. The trials of life may come, but when we have built on rock we shall not be shaken. This sermon looks at what it means to build a solid foundation, drawing out the absolute basic things a Christian needs to do to ensure that they will never be shaken. Five essential steps are presented that every Christian needs as a foundation, as well as three disciplines required to maintain the foundation. Build your house on the rock, and even in a culture of declining moral values you can build a faith that will endure whatever you situation you find yourself facing. | 20 2 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThe power of teamwork | [Dean Kitchener] Henry Ford once summarised effective team building in three simple steps: Bringing together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success. This process is very much in line with what the Bible teaches in Eph 4:1-16. God calls us into His kingdom (He brings us together), He commands us to live in unity (keeping together), and he gives the church leaders to equip the body for works of service (working together). To fulfill the purpose of God on earth the church needs to be a team, and this sermon explores how we can do that. | 16 1 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanJesus, the meaning of Christmas | [Chris Day] As we approach Christmas it is worth reminding ourselves that the heart of Christmas is Jesus. It can be easy to get caught up in the commercialism but all the presents and gifts are not what really matter. In this sermon we look at the real meaning of Christmas and talk about the things that matter most; people. Make sure that you take the time to show the people that mean the most to you that they matter. It is never too soon to do a kindness for someone, and it is never too late to make up with those people that we have fallen out with. At this Christmastime remember that it is not what you get that is important but what you give. | 12 12 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThere is a name | [Dean Kitchener] The name of God is very precious and something that should be treated with the utmost respect by Christians. God is concerned about His name so much that the third commandment in the ten commandments says that we should not misuse His name, or take it in vain. Primarily, God is concerned about His reputation, and according to His wisdom, His reputation in the world depends to a large extent on how His people, the church, represent Him. We are Christ's ambassadors, and as such, everything that we say and do in His name reflects on Him. Unfortunately, that is why many people outside the church have a dim view of God. What they have seen in the church has left them disappointed and sometimes hurt. Every Christian should be as zealous as God in terms of ensuring that they have a good name, and then protect and nurture that good name daily. If we do this, at the same time we honour the name of Jesus, and present Him in a good light to the world, as we should. This sermon looks at God's name and gives some insights that show why His name deserves the highest praise, and tries to bring a perspective that will help Christians to treat God's name with great care. | 5 12 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThe joy of the Lord | [John Wagstaff] In Habakkuk 3 the author talks about rejoicing and being joyful even when times are bad. He is trying to tell us that Christians should have a joy in their hearts that trancends circumstances and that remains constant. In this sermon, various characters are presented from the Bible who demonstrate this incredible reality. The Christian who grasps this truth will truly never be shaken. It does not mean that all problems will magically disappear, but the joy of the Lord will give you the strength to get through them without having your spirit crushed. | 28 11 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanStaying Faithful | [Dean Kitchener] Everyone of us has within us the need to worship, because that is how God made us. Our worship belongs to God and to God only. The trouble is that God is an invisible God and so it can be easy to fall into the trap of worshipping things that are created, rather than the Creator. The Bible calls that idolatry and it is expressly forbidden in the ten commandments. Idolatry is simply putting something else in our lives above God. God is not just there for times of crisis and He wants (and deserves) first place in every single area of our lives. As Christians we should constantly check that we are not giving our worship to things that have no right to receive it, but that we remain faithful to God. Check that your life is free from idols. Ultimately, only God will satisfy. Idols are always going to disappoint. If there are any in your life, get rid of them today! | 21 11 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanFirst Love | [Chris Day] In Revelation 2:1-3 it is shown that the church at Ephesus had many good qualities, and yet we are told that they had forsaken their first love. What a devastating thing to be told! This warning to the church at Ephesus serves as a warning to Christians today too; we must not forsake our first love. In this sermon, we examine two characters to help us maintain our love for God. Firstly Abraham, who believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. He shows us that love for God springs from faith, so that maintaining our faith is essential to maintaining our first love. Secondly David, who was called ‘the man after God’s heart’, had a deep love for God’s house (i.e. His people). God loves His people, and so to love God is to also love His people. In these two things then, faith and a love for God’s people, we might hope to preserve our first love. | 14 11 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanHow deep is your love? | [Dean Kitchener] Jesus once said that the greatest commandment is to love God, and therefore we must constantly check that everything that we do as Christians is motivated from a love for God. A deep love for God was beautifully illustrated once when Jesus was having a meal at the home of a Pharisee. A woman came who washed his feet with her tears, dried them with her hair, and anointed them with perfume. In this sermon we look at what we can learn from this woman when it comes to loving God. | 7 11 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanJoseph - Trusting God | [Dean Kitchener] Joseph is an astonishing example of how it is possible to trust God in all circumstances, no matter how bleak things appear to get. Knowing God, and trusting God, is the key knowledge that is needed to take us through the roller-coaster ride of life. Joseph gives us the confidence to trust God, knowing that in due time he will lift us up. | 17 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanThe Bible - our guide for life | [Dean Kitchener] The Bible claims that it is 'God-breathed' so that we either accept that it is literally God's word, or else discard it as worthless. There are very strong evidences to show that it truly is God's inspired word for us, and as such it needs to be always at the very centre of our lives. Let's read it for all it's worth. | 10 10 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanAnd I'm forgiven ... | [Dean Kitchener] Committing your life to Jesus means that your sins are forgiven! When you receive Jesus God wipes out the massive un-payable debt that we each carry, and because of that we are compelled to live a life where we forgive those who do wrong to us. This is not an option: the Bible says if we do not forgive then we will not be forgiven! Forgiveness is for our own good. It becomes possible when we understand what God has forgiven us, and when we realise that forgiving others is not letting them off the hook - it is letting us off the hook. Forgiveness releases us from bitterness, misery, and hurt so that we become truly free. | 19 9 10 | Free | View In iTunes |
