The Essential Tennis Podcast is dedicated to everybody who loves tennis and wants to improve their game! Host Ian Westermann is a graduate of the Ferris State University Professional Tennis Management program. He is a certified Tennis Professional by the USPTA, and currently teaches full time at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD. Great informative podcast for anyone interested in playing tennis.

This is a really great podcast for anyone interested in playing tennis, as a beginner, intermediate or an advanced player. It's full of really useful information, on training, conditioning, tactics and strategies of playing tennis. I would appreciate more analysis of playing styles of different pro players but otherwise really appreciate the great job done!

Essential Tennis

Ian is doing a great job in providing all this useful (and free) information to help tennis players of all ages. He explains everything in a way that it is so easy to understand. Combine all this theory with actual tennis lessons and you won't fail to improve your game. Thanks for a great podcast and keep up the good work. Howard (UK).

Awesome Podcast

I am a competitve player, who plays at least every week with help from my coach here in the UK. This podcast has supplemented my learning so much, giving me information on almost every single topic that can be covered, like the mental game. There are very few places where you can actually get good, free instruction of the internet, and this is one of them. Whatever you do, subscribe to it and you won't be disappointed.
