A big disappointment
I subscribed to this because I work very long hours and really wanted to listen to the show, which I seem to miss every week. Instead of the full show it appears to be a collection of ten second samplers with links in between. I really don’t see the point in this as people who like folk music can hardly be said to rejoice in sound bites. I understand the copyright issues involved in playing the full track on a podcast, but the B.B.C. should remember that their podcasts are not free – I and many others in the U.K. play a licence fee for this. And the use of some technology to limit the amount of times one could play the podcast would happily resolve this copyright issue. All-in-all, a big disappointment from the B.B.C. and perhaps not worth the money they spend producing it.
IT'S CHANGED!
The reviews underneath are now outdated, as the BBC have decided to broadcast the whole show as a podcast and not just a watered down pointless segment of it. No, the whole show is being podcasted now, so you'd do well to give it a listen, it really is a great show and does wonders for showing you new artists without forgetting the old one's. This is a brilliant show and I'd advise you to subscribe.
What a Waste of Time
Gotta agree with everyone else, I want to hear the full tracks. Guess I'll stick with the BBC's listen again service. Wish I could have given this a no star rating.
