Customer Reviews
You can never listen to the same podcast twice...
For those of you interested in philosophy, but with no training in it, this is a fab podcast. The philosophers are brought to life through the narrator's fresh interpretation of their work, contemporary situation and... er... life.
Another plus is the pleasantly modulated voice, and the narrator's enthusiasm. Well worth signing up for.
Great for last thing at night
I don't read in bed anymore. It's so much less foreboding when there is no exam at the end of it (I'm presuming we won't get tested on this).
Staggeringly good
Top marks to Peter Adamson for bringing us a podcast which is thought-provoking, informative and entertaining in equal measure. The ground covered is more or less the same as Bertrand Russell's History of Western Philosophy, but the style is rather more accessible and contemporary; Adamson apologises for not being able to adequately portray Anaximander's cosmology due to his insufficient special effects budget, for example.
