LW0737 - Recognition | Applause for one's work is such a pleasant thing. To hold it as one of your artistic goals, however, is placing the cart before the proverbial dead horse. | 6 2 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

LW0736 - Your Best Print | Of course the prints you make in a few years will be better than those you make today. You will grow and mature in your artistic vision and skills. But, not if you postpone making that print today because you know it won't be your best-ever print, eventually. Your "best" is a process, not a destination. | 3 2 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

LW0734 - What We See That Others Might Not, Part 1 | With our incredibly trained photographic eyes, doesn't it make sense that we might be able to see subtleties in our photographs that others do not? If so, whose responsibility is it to help them gain access and understand our work? | 26 1 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

One of the very best photography-related podcasts
There are few podcasts that are useful, enjoyable and about photography. This regular Lenswork series is perfect for anyone with a longer-term interest in photography and perhaps art in general. Mr Jensen doesn't, for the most part, provide specific photographic instruction or anything remotely technical. I don’t recall his ever mentioning the brands of cameras or lenses he uses, even. Instead, there are observations and suggestions about photography (making it, appreciating it, buying and selling it) and wider thoughts art and creativity in general from a man who seems wise enough to ask the right questions and (just as important) also seems perceptive and likeable. He is, of course, a photographer and also an editor of the excellent Lenswork magazine. Jeff Curto's Camera Position, Ibarionex R Perello’s the Candid Frame (relaxed, informal interviews with established photographers) and this Lenswork series are my clear favourites among the embarrassingly high number of photography-related podcasts that I listen to regularly. Highly recommended!
Tremendous...
Brooks Jenson is to photography as Alistair Cooke (Letter from America) was to radio journalism and world affairs. A fascinating podcast, to be enjoyed with relish.
Knowledgeable podcast into the art of photography.
I've tried to listen to most, if not all of these podcasts ... well at least the ones available on iTunes ... and have enjoyed each and every one. They're full of insight and wisdom gained over a period of time by Brooks Jensen and not just about the technicalities of photography, which most photography podcasts are obcessed with. Usually I'll download a few to enjoy last thing at night, instead of reading a book, before bedtime.
