Let me take you back - it's 1993. Mid April. Wembley. There's a slight drizzle in the air, but it's nothing unusual or untoward for this time of year, or for this part of the country. Anyway - the League Cup Final is drawing to a close. A young Steve Morrow has grabbed his first goal for the club, and it's turned out to be a cup winning goal! His boyhood dream has come true! The ref blows his whistle, and the stadium erupts - Arsenal captain Tony Adams lifts the young midfielder onto his shoulder, as a little corner of history is carved.
The Morrow / Adams dynamic is the nearest benchmark to the chemistry I detect between Matt Rendell and Ned Boulting. Take that as you will, and I will not tell you which one I think is which.
