Pubcast #69: Please Sir, can we have some Mawer | This week the show had a special visit from Jon Mawer, a young man who’s studying for a Business Management degree at Southampton Solent University. After recovering from the shock of a student actually getting a round of drinks in, the Pubcaster’s settled down to take part in a special focus group. The official remit was “To investigate supporter attitudes towards commercialisation in English professional football”. A normal service will resume in next weeks show… for now we’ll let you decide how closely we managed to stuck to this official premise | 23 2 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

A good fun listen
Really enjoyed the show, it's a welcome change to the usual football podcasts that all talk about the same stuff. This is a bit different, with normal fans, not newspaper journos. Love all the background noise, glasses klinking etc.
The Charlton fan said it was childish? Do they have something against Gillingham? I just thought it was light-hearted. Each to their own I guess.
Good fun, and I look forward to hearing how the lads teams get on during the season.

this is actually a really light hearted and entertaining listen... I fully recommend a download to listen to on the commute to work!
def more interesting than the repetitive phone-ins you find on the radio all the time
Adidas man misses the point
Contrived, deliberately obtuse points of view you will NOT find here. The amateurism is the whole point. Alan davies, Phil cornwell this is not. But it is refreshingly original and far more listenable as a result. Their is genuine love of the game, depth of affection for several clubs - some on the way up, some experiencing a relative drought - but you will at least once per episode laugh out loud, promise. Ricks reference to Lord Taylor this week for instance. Extra- time simply opens ip the range of possibilities and number of ways to offend people. The coach and horses Sunday afternoon, tottenham high road, offers the exact same eclectic mix of optimism, wit, despair and incurable passion. Keep it going, if you need any help/ spinsorships make it a kittle easier on the website. Ginola14
