We talked about Next week's LIVE AOTC commentary, Chris Smith's really cool Kickstarter project, and much more! I'm considering running a marathon this fall and we brainstormed how to StarWarsify it up just little. And lastly, we talked about Fate of the Jedi wrapping up, how Del Rey might move forward, and the future of the SWEU! Please take a moment to check out our Sponsor for this episode ToyHutt! SWR #44 Do or Do Not | Welcome back to the Star Wars Report! On this episode, your hosts Riley and Bethany discuss (as usual) many things Star Wars! Including the upcoming release of a new, improved and updated Essential Guide to Characters! We talk about how Battlefront 3 and 4 got canceled. Wait, there was a Battlefront 4 on the drawing board!? Sigh. We talked about what books we'd like to see set in the original trilogy, and why the hosts and a guest find some viewpoints about female fans to be annoying. We talked about an awful Jar Jar popsicle you can find over at Club Jade... We took a couple of live call ins, and this was our first live, video show with new equipment! We talked about Obi-Wan Kenobi being charged with a hit and run.... We want to thank our sponsor Toy Hutt for sponsoring this episode of the Star Wars Report! And we talked about a new Darth Maul image, and our excitement to see Star Wars: The Clone Wars return! We ended with our thoughts on Yoda's advice, "Do or do not, there is no try." and read a short column based on that advice. "Impossible is only a word found in the dictionary of fools." ~ Napoleon Bonaparte Email: starwarsreport@gmail.com Facebook: facebook.com/starwarsreport Twitter: twitter.com/starwarsreport | 4 5 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

SWR #42 The Sell Out! | Welcome back to the Star Wars Report podcast! This week, due to not being able to do the live show this week, it's just Riley. I talk about an article I read entitled "Lucas the Sell Out!" If there’s one phrase that gets paraded around more than any other about the creator of StarWars, the flannel-wearing, beard-sporting George Lucas, it’s that he’s a “sell out.” George Lucas equals sell out in many corners of the internet. A few years from now, if you look up the phrase “sell out” on wikipedia or somewhere, chances are a picture of the notorious GL will be there by way of simple explanation. The two are practically synonymous! Or are they? Give it a listen :) Riley Email: starwarsreport@gmail.com Facebook: facebook.com/starwarsreport Twitter: twitter.com/starwarsreport | 20 4 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

SWR #41 There is No Try | Welcome back to the Star Wars Report podcast! On this episode, your hosts Mark, Riley and Bethany are joined by special guest host Jason of the Wampa's Lair Podcast! We talk about many things Star Wars, and talk to Jason about how he got into Star Wars, and what his favorite Star Wars moments are, among other things. Star Wars Identities has an official website! We gave several Star Wars Celebration Six updates, and talked about Lucasfilm's decision to abandon the facility building plans they had for Marin County, CA. A new Darth Maul comic has been announced. DK publishing donates $95,000 in children's books on behalf of the 501st and the Rebel Legion! We also discuss Star Wars Kinect a bit more. Why is The Clone Wars writer Brent Friedman skulking around LF? What is coming in the future of Star Wars, now that TCW is getting older, and the Fate of the Jedi series is at an end, what stories will be told? What will happen to the Jedi? We talked about Del Ray's April fools joke, and laughed about it. We hope you enjoy this episode, and remember, many Bothans died to bring you this podcast! SWR #40 How Much Would $6,000 Buy? | Welcome back to the Star Wars Report podcast! On this episode, your hosts Bethany and Riley are out of town, minus some of their recording equipment; so they record a pre-recorded show for you by themselves. WE MISSED YOU MARK!! (We also talked about you.) >=) Red Tails is coming this spring, May 22nd, to DVD, and Blu-ray! A new twist for Leia's Journey for Baby Princess Leah! Well, Leia's Journey has been a huge success so far and a blast to do. We have had a ton of people that want Leia to stop by for a visit, and, well, Leia can only be in one place at a time..... UNTIL NOW!?!? "What do you mean?", you might be thinking. Well, we have decided to add a "New Twist" to the "Leia's Journey for Baby Leah" project. Leia will continue her journey as scheduled, but to help with getting Leia to more stops and conventions, we are going to open up the "Leia's Journey" to anyone who has a "Princess Leia 12 inch action figure" of their own. Remember when we discussed several rumors about Star Wars: Battlefront III? Well, even more rumors and speculation have surfaced over the disclosure of some interesting information..... James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein will be reprising their roles as hosts of Star Wars Weekends again this year! There's a life size statue of Darth Malgus!?!? And it costs nearly $6,000? We also cover the CBS copyright infringement shutdown of a Star Trek fan-film. We compare CBS' action on this to Lucasfilms' fan relations, and talk about how grateful we are that Lucasfilm isn't overly stringent with their copyrights. (If they were, you wouldn't, after all, be reading this, or listening to this episode. Thank you Lucasfilm!) We read two emails from listeners (Thanks guys! We always love feedback!), and talk about the newly released Star Wars Kinect! And of course we discuss the travesty that is Han Solo dancing.... (Travesty? Really? Why is that so bad? It's just like a cos-player deciding to dance while in costume at a convention, and everyone seems to like that.... and it's not like it's a main plot point in the game, or a part of an in universe novel, comic or video game. I would understand people being upset if right in the middle of a serious cut-scene from The Force Unleashed, Starkiller broke out the moves and started to tango.) On that swingin' and jiggin' note, we hope you enjoy the episode! SWR #39 Geeking Out and Fangirling About The Clone Wars Season 4 | Welcome back to the Star Wars Report! This week your hosts Riley, Mark and Bethany are joined by special guests Steve Glossen, of Geek Out Loud fame, and Teresa Delgado, of Fan Girl Next Door fame. Thanks for coming on you two! We had so much fun. During this round-table episode we discussed our various thoughts on Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 4, including, but not limited to, our favorite episodes, our favorite arcs (And are we in favor of long arcs?) the return of Darth Maul, the death of Captain Tarpals and more. We also speculated on the content and the stories to come in the officially announced return of The Clone Wars to television for Season 5. (Hint: There should be at least one session of Cooking with Yoda.) Though more seriously, is it possible that Darth Maul will team up with the criminal underworld in Season 5? This time we decided to record our aftershow, which this time happened to be about The Hunger Games movie! The aftershow is recorded and played after the credits, so it's quite easy to skip out on, if you only wish to hear Star Wars discussion. Let us know what you guys think of the idea of an aftershow, and keep in mind we would talk about many things, not just the Hunger Games. Enjoy the show, and remember, many Bothans died to bring you this episode!
