Keep up

If you are interested in Tech News but find it hard to keep up with the main stories each week, then this Podcast is for you. The group of people that are brought together are generally knowledgeable and likeable. The 2 main criticisms of the show are, firstly, that it contains far more about Apple than the market share of that company represents. You can be sure that if a product story isn’t ABOUT Apple then a comparison TO Apple will be made. This can be tiresome even to Apple fans. Secondly, given that it is recorded from Skype and it is a group of people, the show definitely lacks the polish of Laporte’s other, one on one, shows. People talking over each other is understandable but audio glitches, cut-outs and other technical issues make the show seem more amateur than the cast deserve. Having said that the show really is worth checking out and would be a 5 star Podcast if the above two niggles were ever sorted out.

Used to be great, but now...

Been listening since the first show, but now has become rather tired...tech news is at a minimum, its just friends chatting now. His guests getting free subscriptions and special treatment from sponsors, its rather sad the way he promotes his advertisers above everything else. Since video, he's now distracted further by his video toys and spends little time listening to guests....go back to basics pllleeeaaasseeee!!!! (oh and some tech talk please).

Dire.

Little tech, lots of poorly defined adverts (is this the show, or still the advert?).

Too much talk about Twitter.

Too chummy, often totally off topic.

Too long.

Lacking structure and a solid agenda each week.

I feel it could improve with work and a total overhaul. Currently though it is dire.
