ExplicitZero Cool Episode 50: the Hackers commentary episode | We made it! Fifty episodes! In this one, you can listen to us watch the 1995 classic movie Hackers, while we make fun of it a bit, stare in wonder at Penn Jillete, and perhaps learn a thing or two about ourselves. Andrew had never seen the movie before, so you can relive your first viewing through his eyes! Or, if it's your first time as well, you can share in the glory. You'll have to obtain a copy of the movie in some way or another, or else this podcast won't make any sense | 4 4 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitZero Cool Episode 39: Secret bonus prize | While we're getting back into the swing of weekly podcasts, I have officially switched to "quick and dirty" editing over "meticulous and extremely delayed" editing. As a result, I don't remember what we talked about this episode, but it took me about five and a half hours less to edit. If you listen, you'll hear us talk about games, but I can't really remember which ones! Good luck | 23 10 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitZero Cool Episode 38: PAX Prime 2011 | It's been over a month since the awesomeness that was PAX Prime 2011, and we're finally ready to publish our thoughts on it. At PAX, I made a slightly inebriated promise to Chris Hansborough that he could be on our show, so he's here. Additionally, Andrew Kauz has permanently joined the cast, and Ben PerLee is back, so that brings us to six people for this episode. We pretty much just talked about games we've been playing. Those include: Chris starts us off talking about Gotham City Imposters. Otherwise at PAX, Chris played Batman: Arkham City, Dead island, X-Men, Spider-Man, SSX, Dance Central 2, Lollipop Chainsaw, Skyrim. Darren spent most of his time on the sixth floor, recounts his PAX 10 list. Other than the PAX 10, Darren played SpyParty, Trials Evolution, Rhythm Heaven Wii, Faraway, Skulls of the Shogun, and a lot of Find Mii. David Jaffe's keynote was actually pretty inspiring. Break! (Music: The Binding of Isaac from The Binding of Isaac soundtrack) Andrew, Sean, and Jordan gush for awhile about Deus Ex. Andrew has also been playing El Shaddai and Rock of Ages. Darren played Ascension and Gears of War: the Board Game at PAX, and is playing Crazy Machines Elements and The Baconing for review. Ben is vindictive in Sims Social. Chris has only played Dark Cloud 2 since PAX. Sean's iOS corner brings us Jetpack Joyride and Radballs. So as usual, stream or download the show below, or subscribe to us on iTunes. ExplicitZero Cool Episode 37: balls | We recorded this before PAX. It is now after PAX. To make up for the delay, have some Andrew Kauz! Topics: We finally talk about Bastion, but try our best not to spoil things. Andrew and Darren both got 3DSes from Wal-Mart, and they've been rocking Find Mii. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars is great, but don't buy a 3DS for it. Darren has been playing a month long game of Battlestar Galactica, and it just finished! Jordan recommends Toy Soldiers: Cold War, which surprises the rest of us. Sean's iOS corner highlights three games that are so bad that they're almost good. Almost. Fractal and A Space Shooter for Free are actually good iOS games. Break it down... (Music: Kauzality by AlphaDeus) PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAX! (Note: this was recorded before PAX Prime 2011) Magicka and Amnesia both did pretty well in sales, Jordan turned off the monsters to play Amnesia. Is there still a market for dedicated gaming handhelds? We pretty much lose it toward the end. Listener questions! So as usual, you can stream or download the podcast below, or subscribe to us on iTunes. And of course, if you want to chat us up, check out our forum section | 11 9 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitZero Cool Episode 36: Ektorp | Before we get to the topics for this episode, just a reminder for our listeners: we'll be recording our next episode tomorrow, so you can ask us a question or two below if you want. We'll likely be talking about going to PAX next week. Now, onto topics! We are all over the place with pre-game talk. Couches, science, and kittens, all in the span of five minutes. Jordan and Sean talk up Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet for a bit. Jordan is continuing his campaign to destroy new players in Team Fortress 2. The AWESOME Summer Minis Bundle is not quite AWESOME. Jordan sets the record straight regarding Brad Nicholson's cowardly Splinter Cell Conviction victory. Dominion brings up the difference between gamers' perception of videogame expansions and board game expansions. Instead of playing Bastion, Darren read the PDF rule book for the Gears of War board game. Sean liked From Dust most of the Summer of Arcade, because he's a pretentious hippie bastard. Sean played a few iOS games of varying quality. Listen for his recommendations! Break! (Music: The Reunion from the Portal 2 soundtrack) 3DS price drop: Who saw that coming? Somebody is fapping to Catherine right now. We make fun of the Xbox Live Indie Games Summer Uprising, but not as much as the Winter Uprising. Valve and EA are mad at each other now, regarding Steam and Origin. Sean Carey, star of the Gunstringer, made the executive decision to have Anthony Burch write for Borderlands 2. We talk about some of the other things we want for Borderlands 2. Nolan North is the Penguin? A Battlefield 3 LAN event is protecting women by not letting them in. Huh? Listener questions! Tubatic won Sean's spare copy of Frozen Synapse! Send us your Steam information, Tubatic. So as usual, stream or download the show below, subscribe to us on iTunes, or check out our forum area to chat about games! And of course, leave us a question, and we will probably read it on the next episode | 20 8 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

ExplicitZero Cool Episode 35: video games about card games | Greetings, listener. This podcast is old! I am almost through unpacking, and after PAX, we are getting back on a weekly schedule. Until then, enjoy some slightly outdated conversation! Topics include: 345 Games stole Darren's company name. We haven't really had enough time with Ms. 'Splosion Man to make a judgment call yet. Escape from Puppy Death Factory is awesome and free. Are you guys sick of hearing Darren talk about board games? Comment below! Jordan has just been shooting more aliens in Earth Defense Force, and cutting off limbs in Deadliest Warrior. Sean played Avatar Legends, then had a card game aside featuring Ascension, Orions 2, and Magic: 2012. Otherwise, he has been rocking Bastion, which he compares to Firefly at one point. Break! (Music: Halls of Science from the Portal 2 soundtrack) EA is denying Battlefield 3 through Steam, insists on its own digital distribution platform. In a quantifiably smarter business move, EA bought PopCap. Bulletstorm didn't make any money for Epic, and that makes Sean sad. We go over some of the Xbox Live Arcade sales numbers from the first half of the year. Mega Man Legends 3 news upset some very vocal fanboys. So as usual, stream or download the show below, or subscribe to us on iTunes!
