Description
Two of Britain’s favourite comedians are reunited… over lunch. Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon star in this deliciously funny comedy full of culinary delights, comfortable jumpers and awkward moments. Recently separated from his girlfriend, Steve reluctantly enlists Rob to join him on a tour of the north of England while he reviews six restaurants for a weekend supplement. Never one to turn down a free lunch (let alone six), Rob agrees and together they set off on a culinary adventure. Over the course of six meals at six different restaurants, the ultimate odd couple find themselves debating the big questions of life, such as how did I get to be here and where do I go next? This sparkling improvised comedy sees the guys spend their time trying to out-do each other as to who has the best Michael Caine impression; dispute how Michael Sheen will always get better roles than Steve Coogan, and deliver a series of superb Woody Allen impressions and jokes.

Enjoy The Trip
Beautifully simple to digest comedy, and as said, nothing OTT like some of the other comedies of today. Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan play two friends and themselves, who are touring the north of England, visiting the best 'eating establishments' and reviewing the food that they eat, and life itself, as they discuss films and celebrity impressions in a battle to outwit one another. The side-dish is the drama of their private lives which is intertwined for our viewing pleasure. A wonderful experience and some of the best moments of comedy on television today.
What a show!
This is brilliant. For those wanting a British answer to Curb Your Enthusiasm, for fans of Coogan and Brydon, for lovers of fine cuisine, the glorious British countryside, and world-class comedy, The Trip is an absolute classic!!!
Pure Genius
