Language issue

1. Cannot change language
2. Country names are displayed in simplified Chinese

Automatic renewal charges

I’ve installed the basic free version of Speedtest app on my phones for a few years and recently I found out it had debited US$10 (HK$78) from my Apple account every week for the past 6 weeks. I contacted Apple and found out Speedtest has changed my app’s subscription to “automatic renewal “ and hence automatically updated to a chargeable subscription of US$10/week. Users should carefully read all terms and conditions before installing this Speedtest app.

Hi there - It looks like you might have meant to leave this review for Speed Test & Wifi Analyzer +. Our app, Speedtest, doesn't charge any sort of subscription fee for testing, but this other app that has a very similar name does have a $10 per week charge. If you have any questions, please send us a message to support@speedtest.net.

Cannot refund an in-app purchase

When I was using the app, there was an pop up ad on which I accidentally clicked and the price of that purchase was around USD40! When I received the receipt from Apple and tried to report the matter and apply for a refund. I was told that no refund is eligible! I then tried to make a complaint to the publisher of the app but cannot find anywhere (other than here) to do so! Grateful if Ookla would look into the matter and give me a prompt reply.
