CleanThe End (May 12) | Boyz and Girlz, Welcome to the last episode of this podcast, aptly named “The End” :) I started the whole thing almost 5 years ago, in order to share the music I love and I’m deeply grateful to all of you who’ve supported and followed this podcast. Thanks to you, “Best of House Music” has reached Number 1 last month on Podomatic and generates over 200.000 downloads. Thanks! However, to be honest, I’m a bit disappointed by the lack of feedback I get from Podomatic and iTunes users (considering the fact that just broadcasting on Podomatic costs me $80 per month) so, in the next few days, I will pull the plug on both and save the money for more useful stuff :)- In the meantime, feel free to download the episodes you don’t have! ExplicitInsert Title Here (April 12) | Hello, it’s been a while… The thing is I don’t want to post something that I’m not proud of, so I spend a lot of time scouting for the very best tracks and torturing them until I’m happy with them. And then, I try hard to build original mixes with a bit of things you know and others I want to surprise you with… Long story short: the whole dam’ thing takes an awful lot of time :) Anyways, what makes it worse, is that I’ve moved literally next door to an iconic music studio in Soho where Bowie, Elton John, Queen, The Beatles, Lou Reed, Genesis, etc. have created some of their best tracks in the 70’s. Obviously, I’m not trying to draw comparisons there but it would feel plain wrong to desecrate this holy area by releasing sub-par tunes! “Insert Title Here” starts with a joke and a remix of “The Weather Girls”, then moves swiftly to bass-heavy commercial bangers and fat remixes & bootlegs…. Around 40’ it’s time to move to more intense sounds, with Guetta + Romero “Metropolis” (told you so!), even going a bit trancey towards the end and closing the loop with some old times rock and roll… I hope you’ll enjoy the journey and you’ll keep on giving feedback, sharing with your friends and generally promoting “Best of House Music” : that’s really nice to see the numbers grow (over 1.000 downloads a day…) and your support is the best reward I can get for my hard work :) Again, thanks to all of you, Christian xxx | 11 4 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

CleanDecadance 2002 (Feb 11) | I started my house madness 10 years ago, always looking for THE next great track, spending a fortune on vinyls and CDs, then on MP3s, stealing some tunes, begging for some others... All through this decade, I've recorded and christianized thousands of tracks and I've always wanted to extract those which mean something special to me... Not the most popular, just my personal favorites. Recently, I've finally had a bit of time to re-visit my collection and I've decided to re-master my choonz. And I couldn't resist the opportunity to create a special decadent mix for each year or so, hence this new series called "Decadance". I'll try to release an new episode/year every month and to alternate with the best current sounds I can find! Here is the first episode, Decadance 2002, which covers the period from my humble beginnings to April 2003... Some of these 26 tracks (personal record!) have never been released, some stolen, some restored from TAPE recordings (!)... CleanMake Mine a Double (Part 2, Jan 11) | Happy 2011 to you all! Well, it took me over a month to finalize this second part: it doesn't look at all like the one i had planned, due to the fact that i found brilliant tracks every day and i had to squeeze them in, of course! Just in the last couple days, i stumbled on an unreleased Avicii Remix called "Perpetuum Mobile" (i had to pump it up because it's a bootleg copy with bad sound quality) and brilliant new tracks from Wawa, Syke'n'Sugarstarr, etc. If you add the usual dose of house divas, a bit of spanish sounds, a bit of remixed rap and, of course, Kylie (!), you get to a bunch of 20 happy tracks to start 2011 with a smile on your faces :) Hope you'll like the result, drop me a line and make it double! CleanLooping (August 09) | “Looping”: repeating a sample of music or trying an aerobatic maneuver which puts you in unusual attitudes... You’ll get all of that in this mix: the loop begins with a great instrumental (Cozi “Stamina”) christianized with the vocals of Mstrss “In Danger” and ends with the same tune. In total, 21 tracks (half of them christianized to some degree) with a few fantastic commercial tunes (including a dub of Eurovision’s Numa Numa!), as well as some bits that you will never hear anywhere else (unfortunately). Stolen Tunes of the month: Track 11 comes courtesy of the excellent Paul Martin and Track 16 from The magnificent Oli. And since I’m sure you don’t need yet another podcast with 12 tracks mixed from beginning to end, you will get a fair share of “unusual mixing” (fasten your seat belts, it’s a looping after all), with a fast mixing pace and 2 or 3 tracks playing at the same time. Sometimes you will like the sound of it, sometimes you won’t... The same goes with Track 20: most of you will hate it but I think too many DJs take themselves too seriously and that track is my personal tribute to our Italian friends who know how to put some serious fun into House music! CleanDirty Live in Vegas (January 2009) | Hi! Just got back from a trip to fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada, world capital of sin and cheese. While I was there, I had a few good new tunes I wanted to mix together and play in my big american car, so I decided to do it rough: just my laptop and a pair of iPod earphones, no sound card, no monitoring and all in one shot… The result is “Dirty Live in Vegas”, it’s raw, full of f**k-ups and key clashes, but I’ve finally decided to post it as a personal memory. I do hope, however, that you’ll like it too and, please, forgive me if you don’t (after all, if Celine Dion, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra got to do their “Live in Las Vegas”, why not me? Eh eh). It all starts very uplifting with 4 new mixes of great classics then we move to a fuller sound, big basses and nice diva vocals with some brand new and/or hard-to-get tracks. CleanReplay V2 (November 2008) | I did it again: just after posting « Replay », I went out and heard a fantastic track (courtesy of the excellent Mikey D) “Soul Central – Time after time” and, of course, it HAD to be on my mix. So I do what I do: christianize it, mix it in and post another version “Replay V2”… Apologies for the inconvenience, but I’m sure you will like that one better. I know I do! I’ll leave both versions on for the same low price :). Same blurb follows with the updated track listing! “Replay” comes after 6 months of not posting anything ; I had 2 almost-ready mixes that I wasn’t fully satisfied with. Instead, I decided to wait until I had a bit of inspiration which I found 2 weeks ago, thanks to Jason Prince and an uber-catchy track which samples an old Madonna song “Rain”. “Replay” uses and abuses samples and loops taken from that track and I’ve worked a lot to put together all the tracks I love at this moment, most of them “christianized” in order to make 19 tracks fit on a 80-minute CD. As usual, you can expect big bass sounds and a variety of styles in there (housey, poppy, rocky, all uplifting though), lots of Wawa (again!) and some mixes I really like: 2-3, 4-5, 6-7-8, 8-9 (my favourite), 15-16 which mixes “Children of the Sun” from and into “Rain”, and the new end! CleanSurprise Party! (April 2008) | Never trust a house music junkie when he says he’s gonna stop! To all of you who have expressed their support, friendship and appreciation, I’ve decided to throw a “Surprise Party!”, live from San Francisco... vwhich explains the, hem, RAW sound and artwork :) but, hey, it's a party! And this party is specially dedicated to Richard and Tony, founders and soul of Trax Records in London who have decided to move on with their lives as of May 3rd 2008. During many years they have supplied fantastic tunes to the London Clubbing Scene and for the past 3 years, I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy their friendship and passion for music. Together with the rest of the Trax Team (Craig and Oli), they have supported me, right from the early days of “Bitch is Back!” and, thanks to them, I’ve found many of the hard-to-get tracks featured in this podcast. Let’s just say that May 3rd will be a sad day for me and I can only hope that Trax will live on, under one form or another, as a place to meet friends, chat about music and bitch about the weather. You can’t get do all that online… I know I’ll be there to enjoy the experience to its fullest: Trax Records, 55 Greek Street, London W1D 3DT, 020 7734 0795! “Surprise Party!” starts with an Uber-Christianized track by Tina Bride (kick-ass bass mix courtesy of Dexxlab!), followed by Nick Wahlberg’s “Just shake it”, a flute-driven (!!!) vocal house anthem (I’m quite sure you’ve never heard those tracks before :) You will also find a fair share of more commercial tracks (plenty of Gold & Smax again!): Till West, Addictive, Denis the Menace, Hard Fi… and some rarities like the latest Chris Punk (a cover of Daft Punk’s Aerodynamic) and the closing track (Moonbootica, Jan Delay, anyone?) which sounds like Daft Punk would sound now if they still made music… Of course, some tracks have been “christianized”, and not just because I love this word (!) but to punch them up… Enjoy your “Surprise Party!”, keep dancing, take good care of yourself and say hello, it’s always nice to hear from you… Lotsa love, Christian. CleanThe Latest and Greatest (February 2008) | As promised last week, this is “The Latest & Greatest” which will be the last episode of this podcast! In 5 months, 5 new mixes & 5 old ones, I’ve tried to bring you the best upfront uplifting house music I could possibly mix with my personal style of christianized tracks and 3-minute-long mixes. It’s an extremely time consuming passion (just finding enough good tracks is a mission!) and I would like to stop while the passion is still there: I don’t want to end up like other podcasters, just posting 12 average tracks mixed lazily beginning to end (although this does seem to be a popular thing to do :) Many thanks to all of you who took the time to download & listen to my mixes, the response has been fairly impressive. Extra special super thanks to the few of you who were kind enough to spread the word, or drop me a support note or a comment: that deeply touched me (special note to my reviewers on iTunes, BB & Lee: you almost made me change my mind about stopping now!). CleanThis Side Up (November 2007) | Hi everyone ! I’m pleased to introduce « This Side Up », a big sound mix that should keep you busy during the long winter nights ! We begin with the ever reliable Mary J Blige remixed once again by Moto Blanco, the new Chanel fusionned with the new Booty Luv. Lots of revisited classics (again!): Tracks 4, 6, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 16, mixed with new and exciting stuff. The whole thing is very pumped up uplifting vocal house and I love that sound (as opposed to other current productions which I find too electro and too cold). Anyway, hope you like that too! CleanOne for the road (September 2007) | You guys have reacted so kindly and massively to my first podcast, I couldn't resist posting "One for the Road" in time for the week end :-) We start with a bit of uplifting vocal stuff here, then we move to some more pumping tracks to keep you up to date with what's happening in London now (and probably more!)
