Although OrthoGraph is a professional tool for all architects, building surveyors and facility managers, creating drawings is merely “child’s play”. If you are just renovating an apartment, planning a move to a new home or if you only want to see if your new furniture will fit into a room, you can create an accurate drawing in minutes. No need to learn difficult CAD software: every movement is simple, fast and natural.
OrthoGraph is the only CAD application for the iPad that lets users sketch and then create a survey for the production of detailed floor plans with continuous graphic feedback on the fly. The unique approach of OrthoGraph is first to build up a hierarchical structure of building elements (land-plots, stories, rooms and room parts), and then each building element can be first drawn, just like using a pen and paper. Afterwards, linked to the survey you can adjust the walls and corners based on the measured data. This way creating a floor plan takes only few minutes, and the result is a complete building survey with , detailed reports on the rooms including calculated areas or window surface, etc.

New features of 2.1 version:
1. Hotspots are measurable. They make simple the measurement of difficult rooms or corners that are hard to reach.
2. Display room parameters by all rooms visible on floor plan. Now that's very simple to display full floor-plans of apartments or buildings with room names, area and perimeter.
3. Assign wall sides: accelerating the creation of floor plans, helps users to assign two sides of walls by just one movement of the finger (works also by such walls where there is now window or door)
4. All measurements and data entering has gone into 3 digits precision. This means in metric measurements mm details in inch 1000th of an inch
5. Supporting point cloud based images (3D point clouds flattened as a background), scanned blueprints or photos shoot with the camera of the iPad as a background of surveys. We support this background feature assignable to physical tree structure elements, so it is very easy to use even by large, multi-level buildings. The digitization of existing paper based floor-plans into CAD software has never been easier.
