I'm all for this 21st century stuff but...
by No-More-Drab-SterThe 21st century music scene is now bringing it's first decade to a close. It started off with something of a bang, some artists offering the new sounds, some veterans stuck to their guns and others adopting the style/accepting the torch of their idols. JLS fits into this latter category, but not very comfortably. Following the classic 90s boy-band/girl-band era like Boyzone*. Where's the vocal improv going in this? And not much is going for lyrics, and the beat sounds like something off a crummy electric keyboard. It all seems rather half-hearted. I'm half-glad this style is still around but I just want some more genuine thought put into it.
