Feel That You Own It
I have seen many a band rise up thru the ranks over the years but I am truly blessed to be able to witness the evolution of Bipolar Empire.
On this, their debut album the band create a rich tapestry of sound by drawing on influences as diverse as U2, Led Zep, Jeff Buckley, Muse, The Beatles and The Beach Boys. While modern day pop songs are so disposable the quality of the songwriting on display here will stay fresh on the lips of music fans well into the next generation. My faves would be the singles Tempomanic and Feel That You Own It with the frenetic rock out that is Start The Show a contender for top track. The slower numbers like Why So Sad? and Human Race evoke memories of the social concience displayed in the songs of Dylan/Young. With monster tunes like Trip Around The World and Open Our Minds we are guaranteed a summer of upbeat sing-a-longs no matter what the weather throws at us.
