Fantastic album!
Great album from start to finish! Very different to most music out there right now - but that's what makes it for me.
Songs I would definitely recommend you listen to are "Fears and Remedies" and "Stereoscope". Also a great live band so if you have the chance to hear these songs live, take it. All in all a great album that will put you in the festival mood.
One of the Best
Easily my best albums of 2011 (so far anyway) from a band that deserves more recognition in Ireland and abroad. Hopefully this will see their careers rise to astronomic heights. There really isn't a dud track on this which is a rarity these days.
A masterpiece ahead of its years
A fantastic follow-up to their hugely popular "Go God Go", "Leaving My Empire" will see Fred reach a new level of popularity, both at home and abroad. Have seen them perform this album twice live and crowd reactions to these new tracks are astounding. Would highly reccomend "Somewhere Else", "As You See", "Fears and Remedies" and "We Are The City Now".
Although somewhat of a departure to their usual joyous pop music, "Leaving My Empire" is packed with countless hooks, amazing melodies and lyrics streets ahead of the common monosyllablic you hear nowadays.
Would reccommend to anybody who appreciates a great listen. 10/10
