She's come so far...

In many ways, I think My Best Friend is You is better than Made of Bricks, which is always the worry for artists, that their second album will flop. But this one certainly did not.
And Nash managed to kill two birds with one stone. She moved away from the quite childish adolescent pop to a totally different sound, and also managed to distance herself from Lily Allen in terms of her music.
Mansion song is probably my favorite. The opening 90 seconds is a rant about groupies hanging around at festivals, and the lyrics are genious, with clever rhyming and a good rhythm, even though there is no music or percussion. Then it moves into a tribal drum beat with screams and chants in the background, which work perfectly for the song.
Paris and Do-Wah-Doo could be the most versatile songs of the album, with soaring choruses and more poppy vocals. Echoings of the Nash of yesteryear, which is definately most vibrant in I Hate Seagulls, which is a list of things that Nash hates, which turns out to be a declaration of love.
This album is one of the best of the year, it deserves to go to number one. Buy this! (Y)

Brill

This girl defonly deserves the top of the charts.

Brilliant.

This album is long over due but is totally worth the wait. God you'd think she couldn't get any better but there you go. And the comment about copying lily Allen, don't be soo judgemental. She's got a great album and deserves the credit for it.
