Album Review

National Treasures is a comprehensive singles collection from Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers. Spanning just over three decades, this chronicles the band’s incredible musical and personal journey. Singles from the guns-ablaze debut of Generation Terrorists, the dark genius of the Richey Edwards-led The Holy Bible, and the intelligent, stadium-friendly rock of Everything Must Go and beyond are all included. It also features the Heavenly Records-released debut single "Motown Junk.", Rovi

Customer Reviews

Amazing album, but pricing structure gone wild

to buy these tracks individually would see you spending E120! To buy them in this package you spend E12.99. Why the huge difference? It just shows that there is no need to have individual tracks priced so highly, and lets face it, who looks at music videos more than once? I'd be happier buying the audio part, but not at E48. So spend E12.99 and delete the hard drive hungry and unnecessary videos after one watch. Makes financial sense if no other kind of sense. Reduce your prices Apple:)

When you're left alone with the memories! !

To celebrate the 21st anniversary of their first single release, Manic Street Preachers have released the ultimate singles collection 0n 31st October. 'National Treasures - The Complete Singles' gathers 38 songs from the band's rich history, starting with initial Heavenly Records release 'Motown Junk' (1990) to tracks taken from last year's 'Postcards From A Young Man' Simply put, a collection to adorne any music fans collection 10/10

"But the side of you they'll never see, is when you're left alone with the memories, That hold your life together ... like glue" - Matt Johnson

Dressed in glam clothing, wearing heavy eyeliner, and shouting political rhetoric, the Manic Street Preachers emerged in 1991 from their hometown of Blackwood, Wales, as self-styled "Generation Terrorists." Fashioning themselves after the Clash and the Sex Pistols, the Manics were on a mission, intending to restore revolution to rock & roll at a time when Britain was dominated by trancey shoegazers and faceless, trippy acid house. Their self-consciously dangerous image,...
