I love Talking Heads and after 30 years listening to them I love them even more! The first time I heart them it was from a radio station in Athens and it was like a big slap in my face! I said to myself: "Dam!! Who are these guys?????". I rush to the centre of the city to look for their records but I couldn't find anything as they were not yet imported in Greece. I was asking the record shop staff "Do you have Talking Heads?" and they will look at me in mistery as they didn't know them!! Finally one good day while I was searching for them, I show in a record store all their albums that were just imported but with high prices as they were not produced in Greece. Man, I gave all my monthly sallary and I bought them all and for the rest of the month I was living with thin air!!! But the album which was and still my favorive one and it is a maga milstone in the history of music is REMAIN IN LIGHT with producer Brian Eno (Brian is genius period!). This album is one of the best 10 records of all times not just in the rock/moderm music. And definetely the best album of the 80s. The funcky elements blented with african percussion and voice patterns, with the the fantastic guitar worksof Adrian Belew, the awekening voice and lyrics of David Byrne and his group and the out of this world synth of Brian Eno is something that will continue to inspire the future generations from here on out.
