Customer Reviews

As per usual!

I love The Saw Doctors but I was slightly sceptical about the idea of releasing new songs after a best of... but I really like this song and it sounds like it potentially wouldn't sound out of place in the charts and I look forward to hearing the rest of the Further Adventures..

The Docs train of majestic rock songs is right on track!

The Saw Doctors new single taking the train is evidence that their song writing ability and musical prowess is still a powerful engine. There is sufficient juice and energy here to make the unsuspecting new-comer imagine that this is a new band that have created a unique sound. This is a far cry from some of the soft numbers and jovial releases that peppered the early years of The Saw Doctors. Listening to the musical hooks and guitar work that this effort displays one might suspect that a guest guitarist was parachuted in to layer the number; but no, Leo Moran and Davy Carton still have that mystical quality that marks them out as legends on the Irish Rock Scene and play all the lead work here. The drive and verve of drummer Éimhín Cradock, the bass pizzazz of Anthony Thistlethwaite and the exemplary keyboard mustering of Kevin Duffy all make this one train well worth the taking!

Back to basics

Tony lambert was a huge loss for the doc's. They seemed to rock up their back catalogue after they acquired some members of the stunning. To me they should go back to basics
