Epic by any standards!
by LHC79I have been a fan of SP for a good few years now and these lads never fail to disappoint. Since their first album, Songs For Polarbears, it has been obvious SP have a truely special gift, a gift that followed through on 5 more albums. Although people may give out about their 5th album, A Hundred Million Suns, for me it can do no wrong, it is obvious Gary's lyrics have progressed to a new place, and to people who say it's not as good as their 3rd 'Final Straw' (my favourite) and their 4th 'Eyes Open', it's different is all, not as many stadium anthems, but still as many heart felt tunes. Throughout their span, they have given us memorable hits such as 'Run' and 'Chasing Cars', though for us more accustomed to the entire works of SP we are offered their true gifts such as 'An Olive Grove...', 'Limited Edition', 'Chocolate' and even some of the Reindeer Section's magic. As Gary has described it, it's not so much a greatest hits as a tribute to the last 15 years of SP, warts and all. The albums' 3 new tracks are a good sign for the future of SP, both 'Dark Roman Wine' and 'Give Me Strength' remind us why we fell for SP in the first place, the lyrics and melody both providing memorable and moving songs...
Simple, whether you're a big fan of SP or just like a few of their tracks, there's epic listening to be had. I for one can not get enough and have listened to it again and again and loved every minute of it. A must have by any standards in my opinion!!

by Peter=]Since the amazing 3rd album,eyes open, snow patrol have quickly gone downhill..perhaps its due to the high standards they set themselves with 'eyes open' but i dont think so..songs such as hands open,chasing cars,youre all i have,run,chocolate and signal fire are all ones you wud listen to if u want to get hyper/exited/pumped up..u get da idea..whereas just say yes, please just take these photos from my hands..and almost every other song since eyes open would only make u fall asleep..(except disaster button and maybe take back the city..)i dont like the path snow patrol are taking.. 2 stars for their old work..0 for the new songs.
