About Barnardos
Barnardos supports children whose wellbeing is under threat, by working with them, their families and communities and by campaigning for the rights of children. Barnardos was established in 1962 and is Ireland’s leading children’s charity.
Every day in Barnardos we see children who suffer from the effects of poverty, neglect and disadvantage, and children who are living through the nightmare of family life ruined by domestic violence or abuse. At Barnardos we believe that every child in Ireland should be given a real chance to be the most that they can be, and every child should be given the best possible start.
