Smart and Neat News Aggregator
All I want from a news app is to read articles that interest me, and Flipboard lets me do that perfectly.
I don't use any secondary features (liking, creating magazines, etc.) so I can't review these but I'm very happy with its main function, that is creating a news feed.
Propaganda machine
This organization is a propaganda machine for vested interests. They have complete control over the “news” that you receive similar to Facebook. They also allow dubious sources to pretend that they are newspapers when in fact they are just brainwashing people into believing lies. When you contact them, multiple times, to ask them to stop sending articles from sources that you have blocked, they will ignore you and fob you off without solving the issue that was raised. I can’t believe that they get away with this.
Since my review Flipboard keep asking me to “mute sources” as I have done many times to no avail. It would be better if they stopped emailing me and just fixed the problem. Unfortunately “fixing” the problem would stop Flipboard from spreading the propaganda and lies and would result in lost revenue from the paymasters.

In Flipboard, you can follow your favorite sources and mute ones that you would not like to see anymore. We also have sections for conservative and liberal viewpoints - for those who lean one way or the other - and a magazine called "Left, Right, & Center" for people who like to see a mix of viewpoints.
Needs some series coding love
Clipboard is a very good news and website trawling app that creates, in essence, a specialised magazine for the user, based on their interests. Of course many sites don’t work with the app, blocking it in various ways, and others are just too ugly and rudimentary to suffer through. But there’s still plenty of ways to include good content if you spend the time setting it up and tweaking the settings on an ongoing basis. However, the app itself badly needs some love from developers: recent iOS updates means it glitches horrible as rotating pages ‘zoom’ to fit, and it feels like a very old machine on a fast new track.
