Description
UCD Mobile – a new app for mobile devices
UCD staff & students, together with alumni, prospective students and visitors now have a handy way to stay connected to UCD. Owners of smart phones and other mobile devices can now download a free application ‘UCD Mobile’ that puts the University in the palm of their hand.
There is a wealth of information available through the new app which delivers real-time news and services. For example, at the touch of a button you can see where exactly you are on campus and find the building you’re looking for with the interactive Maps service. The latest University News and updates are available via the News feature which contains a number of news categories to choose from including the University Noticeboard. There is a Directory service that not only shows staff contact details but links to the map service directing users to the contact’s address on campus.
The Events Calendar will keep you in touch with the many activities and events taking place on campus and the Sports module with subdivisions for various sports and men’s and women’s teams will keep fans up to date with the latest scores and fixtures.
Blackboard Mobile Learn gives you direct access to Blackboard content, announcements and much more.
The Videos feature brings you a wide variety of student and faculty produced videos including lectures from various programmes.

Great Potential.
It's a big help to finally have Blackboard working on the iPhone. Maps are handy too. Only thing is, I can't find a way to log into my actual account or SIS? If you could work in push notifications for upcoming assignments, etc. you'd have a fantastic app on your hands.
Still, it's cool that UCD's investing in stuff like this. Makes the student centre fee less painful...
Surprisingly useful App!
This app will be my electronic bible throughout my time at UCD! Was really looking forward to this app and it really delivered! It will no doubt serve as a very useful tool for both new students and current students - the Map feature for the new student who finds himself lost on campus, and the Blackboard and News features for the general student. Highly recommended!!!
