No Monster Club

About No Monster Club

A project helmed by Bobby Aherne (aka Sir Bobby Jukebox), No Monster Club merges retro-minded garage-pop and elements of lo-fi psychedelia with passionate performances and ever-present tunefulness. He debuted with the minimalist Tropical Decibels, Vol. 1 in 2009. Subsequent sets, such as 2011's Young Guts Champion EP and 2015's People Are Weird, fleshed out arrangements and saw No Monster Club sometimes operating as a band. The 2016 EP Where Did You Get That Milkshake? was followed by a handful of singles -- 2017's "Orpheus - Radio" featured a B-side cover of Lally Stott's 1971 U.K. hit "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" -- before the songwriter turned to the Sir Bobby Jukebox moniker.
