Season Review (EPL Talk Special Podcast) | It takes some time to review the season. So much to fit into one pod, which is why this podcast is almost the length of two EPL Talk podcasts…but worth the time and effort as the regular podders take on morality, money, moronic tweets and missing empty nets. Really? Of course, looking back can be difficult so we look forward to more seasons and managers as sackings, cups and players move around europe. Kartik broadcasts from Florida where Roberto Martinez decided to 'divert' his 'holiday'. Coincidence… City, United and Chelsea all get the analysis of our pod and Arsenal are praised for their positivity, Wenger's fore-sight paying off again. But teams just below that embarrassed themselves: Liverpool being the main candidate for humiliation: or are they? We look at how they can move forward. Of course, many teams are praised for their changing structure, player roster and mentality. Newcastle do well in these stakes, can they go on and build from here or is this season so anticipation one which sets them up for Bolton's destiny? All twenty teams are in this podcast so let us know what you thought of the season. Was your team on the podcast enough? Do you have thoughts on where your team is going next season? Do you even want a team after this season? Chelseans of Europe (EPL Talk Special Podcast) | It's a UCL Special! Chelsea have won it! And that leave so much for us to talk about, ownership, management and player power are all discussed on the podcast! Come on in, the words are warm. AVB, RDM, RA or JT, all letters lead to success for Chelsea this season as we see a penalty shoot-out and unprecedented scenes in Germany. History has been made. Right? And of course Sammy Ally is back in the EPL. What do you think? West Ham deserve their place or are you sad to see Blackpool lose out. Champions League Final (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | So much to discuss on this pod. Hiring and firing in the league. Natural or should we be shocked? Two managers who barely fulfil their role get cut from the team. Kenny Daglish and Alex McLeish. The Scottish population in the league certainly took a battering this season. Uncle Roy made his squad selection, mostly EPL players. Does that bother you? Who isn't happy with Downing? Everyone…well, apart from Downing. Do you feel bad for him? Just because the players he has supplied have let him down, should he be made a figure or fury? Elsewhere there is a Champions League final to be had. Chelsea face Bayern in Germany, but who will play? Is it really worth the trip? Will Torres start? Saturday, join us! On Twitter and EPLTalk.com. Blue Moon! Red Horizon! (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | Manchester City win the title. Beating out Manchester United on goal difference. Sir Alex was gracious in defeat which Roberto seemed to be in dreamland. Manchester celebrates as neutrals ponder who to hate next season…either way City have caused a new kind of upset. The likely upset. And in such fashion. To contrast their emotion: Bolton are relegated after making themselves so consistent in the league. Owen Coyle must be wondering what he did so wrong. Joey Barton won't sympathise, he doesn't sound capable, though maybe that is what makes it so frustrating: we know he knows better. Overall, a wonderful season in the league. Stories from all sides of the table. As we look back, I hope you look forward. Plenty more to come from EPL Talk this season. It doesn't get much more clear cut than the Premier League table at the end of the season. But that doesn't tell half the story. Let us know yours. Almost Over (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | It's the final day of the season, come Sunday. So get to it! The pod certainly does, we look up and down the league to see who will end up where at the end of the season. It really isn't that far away. With the top far from decided, we look at the mentality of both sides. It is City vs. United. Sir Alex vs. Roberto. The people just behind them as far from safe in their position either. But more disappointing, the bottom of the table looks like it's pretty much decided. Damn. So it's between Bolton and QPR. Who wins the league? Who was your prediction at the beginning of the season? Who goes down? Let us know. Probably Two Happy Robertos (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | A weekend of literal and narrative cup finals for north and south. Though it was interesting to see where they took place. Liverpool visited London whilst United hosted and City went to "The Shore". All results lead to dejection and jubilance. Overall, London comes away as the happier City. So, what about the clubs left with defeat to ponder. The pod takes a look at how defeat can shape a team and sum up a season so well. Section One focuses on Manchester whilst Two follows the agitation and adulation of a Wembley final. Both times, Roberto was the happier man both times. Scots left to consider the less obvious misgivings. And of course there was relegation to consider. Are Aston Villa above the fight now? Did Cisse's heroics do it for QPR? It all builds up to a great final weekend. Build-Em-Up (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | Without either Manchester side in the mix this weekend we see a peak in the exciting football as teams hone their side and make a push to be the most impressive in the league. Is it a question of too little, too late? The pod look at the top four credentials of all runners. Excellent goals were on the menu as hat-tricks from Suarez and Torres spun a season which could have been so disappointing into a success, it took time but with goals of this quality it was worth the wait, right? Of course the Manchester Derby is the pinnacle of the EPL season. Section three is dedicated to previewing and reviewing the season in Manchester. Quiet Before a Storm (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | The pod is light this week. After the special edition, it is only right that we keep the happy note going. To summarise the thoughts and feelings around the EPL in mid-week are four people from different places in the world. Chelsea get section one as we look forward to the Champions League Final in Munich. Are Chelsea really under-dogs after bringing Barcelona to their knees? Munich weren't as strong and are far from title-winners but show the determination and calculation to win a cup. Both Chelsea and Munich have scores to settle in this competition, but will that be played out in this tie? In "The News" Morgan introduces the draft to the podcast. Who would you draft from the EPL? Where would they play if they were gonna be NFL players? Could any EPL players cross-over to a US sport? Then there are previews for the weekend? Will the midlands get sucked into the relegation battle or will it remain strictly an exclusive competition for the doomed few? The Heat Is On (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | How do you focus? When it's this hot you just stumble around, so the pod follows the trend and staggers between Manchester and London in an attempt to cover all. So we split it up into bite size pieces. Manchester is United as a City by their title hopes, but divided when it comes to where the trophy will finish up. As United draw, City win and suddenly the Etihad has never looked so enticing. Next Monday there will be a raw of approval from both sets of fans as blue and red take to the pitch. The second section is full of mediocrity and sadness, sugar-coated with Newcastle United and their lovely form. Kristan evaluates their 'Top 4' chances and The Gaffer looks into the lower half of the table. Chelsea is section 3, how could we make it anything else? We assess their Arsenal clash and how they will do in Europe. Barcelona are formidable on paper and about as resilient as paper on current form. But their wider quality and pedigree for winning makes them outstanding favourites for this tie. Can Chelsea turn the tables and hark back to a dominant era in recent history? Chelseason Conclusion (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | Chelsea finally make some waves in April, not too little too late. In fact, they've hit form at the perfect time. Of course, form is temporary: just ask AVB. But it is important to find it at the right time. Most people credit that to Roberto and his positive outlook at Cobham. One Roberto who has been less positive but getting results resides in Manchester. As his side chase Sir Alex at the top of the table, does game order really change the way that a season pans out? Or is that just excuse making? Kartik does NASL: http://youtu.be/QDzG8gAaPGw Matt talks Davies: http://www.epltalk.com/why-i-agree-with-alan-davies-that-liverpool-should-play-on-april-15-40996 Matt makes the point for discussion about match-day exceptions and we discuss silence in the stadiums. How do you act when you go to a game? JFT96 (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | The FA Cup final has two teams. It meant that thousands of people were left disappointed this weekend, as Chelsea and Liverpool progress to Wembley on the 5th of May. David Moyes and Harry Redknapp rue their missed chances, whilst an old cup competition rivalry is rekindled. The league ran a reduced schedule, but still impressed with quality at both ends of the pitch, goalkeepers taking centre stage and midfielders showing their range. It doesn't stop Manchester from dominating the top of the league though: both City and United won which keeps the gap at 5 points and the title race ajar. JFT96 is also particularly prevalent this weekend as the Hillsborough Service was held at Anfield to remember the 96 who lost their lives 23 years ago. We pay tribute, through the podcast. Our thoughts are with the friends and families. There were controversial decisions to be made by the referees, not all went the right way. Should we be questioning referees more? Or do they have enough pressure already? Dissent is for losers (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | Games come thick and fast at this point in the season. The pressure can often be too much to take. It seems to be increasing and showing more as Man City begin to crumble under the pressure. Long term demise or short-term blip? Both will decide the title and rivalry outcomes this season. The league seems to have taken a profound shift towards 'decided' as we hurtle towards the end of the season. Relegation looks more certain for Wolves, whilst nerves are getting the better of other sides. Who is destined to stay up or go down? The uncertainty doesn't sit well in the modern business of football. Not least with Roberto Mancini and his back-room staff. But it was all they had, Mario can't be super every week. By contrast United look to be gaining strength and momentum. Does the win this week guarantee them the title? E.P.L. Friday (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | So much can happen in so little time. Between the weekend and Thursday: United have put one hand on the title and Chelsea have secured a two-legged tie against their bitter UCL rivals Barcé. Both teams in a confident mood, but how will that change the weekend's football. The pod deconstructs the goings on and mid-week news as the four podders try to make sense of Pennant on Twitter, Pulis on Social-Networking and Liverpool on…anything right now. Support Stan (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | Title defining weekend? You can only connect the dots looking backwards, but it seems that the press have already placed United's hands on the Title. City might feel insulted by that, but they insulted themselves with some childish displays of disrespect on the pitch. Does this hand the cup to Manchester Red or is there still time for a turn-around? Of course, the podcast title makes a difference to our subject matter, "Stan" receives an honourable mention and dedication during the podcast. The thoughts and feelings of all involved with EPL Talk are with the family at this time. Nothing but positivity. There is also a tribute to the late, great Giorgio Chinaglia, links below are mentioned in pod: The Movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0489247/ Kartik's Article:http://www.majorleaguesoccertalk.com/revisiting-once-in-a-lifetime-2405 The Book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Once-Lifetime-Incredible-Story-Cosmos/dp/1843543753/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1333321399&sr=1-3 Of course, there was some quality football mixed in there for good effect. Newcastle schooling Liverpool in the art of upgrading and Sunderland capitulating. Which is worse? At least one side built a lead. Dempsey putting in more decent performances when it comes to Fulham, proving himself to be the best American to grace the league? Hi Everybody (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | Plenty of great news for the EPL this week. It means that there is jubilation on the podcast for the podders: you too. Chelsea go through in the Champions League and the FA Cup is on the way to Wembley: derby time. With the war of words intensifying between the managers and Patrick Viera, Dan Roan has been banned from Man City media and Mario decided to drop in on Italian football. Of course, the weekend matches provide huge opportunities to gain ground in the league and with United not playing until Monday, City can make things more interesting. Don't agree? Aftermath (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | Mid-week games are always so positive in the league. They can shape our perceptions of a side, because we see them outside of the usual 'weekend' context of intensity and scrutiny. Though it can also open a team up to a true analysis. With that in mind, the pod discuss the return of Carlito and Mancini's tactical acumen as we enter the final part of the season. We also preview the weekend's football and take a look at whether QPR's win actually makes a difference to their season. Does belief make such a difference? We also look at Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs. What does the top four hold for them? Pray For Muamba (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | Considering the events which have passed this weekend the EPL Talk podcast would like the send out the most positive sentiment to Fabrice Muamba and his family. For that reason, the pod starts with an update on the situation and a brief word about the situation. In that frame, the football played seems a lot less significant, but there were positives to some of the actions on the pitch this weekend. To analyse those, 4 podders sit down to review a dominant United; Newcastle keeping the points; and Liverpool making things right at home. There is also a preview section to the podcast, looking at the featured match this week: Man City – Chelsea. A critical game as we enter the final stages of the season. How will it unfold? Where did all the goals go? (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | Well, the goals came in dribs and drabs this weekend, so did the quality. The pod can relate…as the four podders gather around to witness United climb to the top of the table, Kartik looks at the deficiencies in City's lineup and the strength in United's. Rooney coming through for Sir Alex again. Elsewhere Chelsea scrapped a 1–0 win whilst Aston Villa did the same. Why such a lack of goals? Blackburn looked handy with Junior and of course Sunderland continued their consistency with a 1–0 over Liverpool. Both Everton and Liverpool were involved in one goal games, does this set up the derby perfectly? Yes, yes it does. The final section of the podcast is dedicated to Merseyside, how will this change their seasons? What will kkfla think of this? Find out inside this week's pod, as we start with a full Chelsea section – something new? Who is on the list to replace him? Will the plan continue? Then we change tactics and approach the title: who has the impetus in this race? United took their chances but haven't taken control of a game for a while now. Title winning mentality or do you create your own luck? A number of 1 – 1 draws frustrate fans across the league, as team after team fail to take their chances. As draws mount up, who benefits? There was a derby in there too as Newcastle faced Sunderland. Fiery. A number of talking points, including: should Tiote have gone down so hard? Liverpool host Arsenal whilst United travel to Spurs. Title influences mean that both matches have a say on how the top four could look at the end of the season: so who will win out? To break it down Kristan and Matt join the pod to discuss all manner of goings on. Can referees be right 92% of the time? Does less international football diminish the importance of the game? Who Loves Ya'? (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | The cups come thick and fast at this point in the season. It's great to watch teams scramble for position as the knock out rounds make everything look very cut-throat. It's nice to prepare some people for the tragedy at the end of the season. The pod goes through all the results in the Champions League and Europa League to start the podcast. Transitioning back to Britain and the first Wembley excitement starts this weekend. The Carling Cup. Does it get any better? Well from here on in, yes: Cardiff face Liverpool in an inter table battle or both club and country. Matt see the irony in hosting the Welsh capital. Cup mp3 (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | FA Cup weekends mean so much to the EPL Talk podcast. They give a great chance to look at the situation from a completely different angle. Conclusion? Yeh, playing lower division teams is harder than the TV says it is. AVB should be angry. 'Arry got away with it. Kristan tells a lovely story about Demba Ba, whilst Matt looks at Leeds and Warnock. Hmmm. Both in precarious positions, but for very different reasons. The same could be said for our teams in the EPL, Arsenal look shattered whilst Liverpool don't know what to do with themselves now they did well…even Gus Poyet seemed happy with them winning. EPL sides were changeable this weekend with mixed set of results. What did you think of your side's performance? Wolves and Whales (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | The Champions League is back! With a BANG! AC Milan demolished Arsenal 4 – 0. In the pod today? Well, is it really all that bad to be beaten by the Italian Champions? A new team against another rebuilding side. Besides, 4 – 0 is just a bad day at the office, but if you have to many bad days at the office…well…you know what happens. Anyway, in between all of the EPL action the SPL is suffering, Kartik joins the pod for one section to dissect the coming clashes in the Europa League and the fun of non-UCL competition. What can be achieved when the pressure is off? Along with that, the FA Cup have 9 EPL teams still in there. Could it be an all EPL round of eight or will someone upset the applecart? With an easy route into Europe, the teams competing for fourth will have to look at their priorities and act fast to book their place next season. Liverpool lead the queue. Don't they? Shake-Up (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | If happiness is valuable then Liverpool must be saving theirs up for a rainy day… Kenny Dalglish, Luis Suarez and the Anfield collective doing their best to share as much depression around the league as possible. Disappointing for a set of supporters who seemed ready to move on after realising their own ridiculous situation. But as it happens, Patrice Evra is no longer the one stuck between a rock and hard place. KD is…and this rock might be hard to shift. To assess the fall-out and cave-ins of the weekend, the pod are a collective of four: this week obsessed with Liverpool and how they can move forward after this. Posing more questions than usual and wondering if Liverpool have the ability to attract and spend on a new star. Football was played in many different positions across the league. It has stacked the next few weeks up quite well as Arsenal and Spurs vie for top dog position in London, looking back at a disjointed Chelsea. How time changes: Bolton embody that idea, looking up at the promoted lovelies of Norwich and Swansea compete to entertain the fans in their own way. So was football a winner or a loser this weekend? What the? (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | An incredible week in 'Football News' means that not much has happened on the pitch. Liverpool and Spurs played out a 0 – 0 whilst a cat became the highlight of Twitter on the night. On the news: Fabio gone and Harry should be in, but when and to what end? The pod discusses. The money in the game keeps swirling around as Barcé and Real gain more monetarial ground in the international stakes. Does anyone care? Possibly about as much as we care for Mertesacker and his winter break... Our featured match this week is Manchester United vs. Liverpool. Old Trafford will greet the Anfield Collective with a hostile welcome whilst Kenny swaddles Luis Suarez in praise and ambiguous comments. How will it change what happens on the pitch? Super Bowl Soccer (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | It is Super Bowl weekend! So we respectfully nod at that and move on with the biggest game on US television this weekend. Chelsea faced United at Stamford Bridge, AVB lost out on all three points as United gained the respect of the league by coming back to draw 3–3 at the final whistle. Penalties all around! Arsenal thrashed Blackburn 7 – 1 whilst the rest of the league battled in the snow. It meant that many were frustrated by the standard of the pitch, but the standard of football withheld and we saw some wonderful goals. We also preview Liverpool hosting Spurs on Monday night as the two sides jostle for respect in the league. 4 – 0 at White Heart Lane, Liverpool are billing this as a revenge match whereas Spurs look to stay consistent and show their strength. Window Shopping (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | The Transfer Window has now slammed closed. We got excited and decided that it was time for an EPL Talk Special. With no 'huge' names changing hands the pod didn't pour praise on any of these players. It's a good thing, we have a stable season in the Premier League. It may currently be regarded as a good thing. Does the league understand their restraints better now? The pod also look at the midweek games, season changing points were earned by United as City dropped points to Everton: what does that mean for the top four? Will City lose it from here? Equally, Spurs make a good swap with Everton who have traded up and found their new Duncan Ferguson. Kristan reviews a BBC documentary; the IPL have formulated a league roster; White Heart Lane is up for redevelopment, the excitement begins. The Grey Matters (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | When it comes to colours in football red and blue have to be the dominating shades. Especially this weekend, but grey is the subject this week as all of the grey areas in football seem to be expanding. To discuss that, the pod look at the Anfield Rap; London Calling; and Gunner revivals in the FA Cup. But don't let that get you down. Liverpool beat United at Anfield, but the supporting cast stole the show... Also, as the transfer window closes again, the pod find it hard to get excited about any transfer rumours and wonder if Mourinho would come back to England so soon. Carroll might hope he can still get that move out... Of course, we preview all of the games this week and pick out the crunch points with so many ties happening in midweek. Cups, Cups, Cups (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | With so many cups in just one week, the EPL feels like it has been broken up. However, the FA Cup has become somewhat of a figure of fun in the English press, despite attempts to make it as nostalgic as it once was. With Liverpool progressing against City and hosting United this Saturday, the cup seems very relevant to the EPL season. With cups in mind, the pod review the result of Liverpool v. City in the Carling Cup and assess if this will change the trajectory of either club in the coming weeks. This sandwiches all of the latest transfer news. Then, FA Cup previews and the biggest and best points for this weekend. Nostalgia and all. Kartik and Matt dissect Leeds United and their policy on the transfer market; long-term heaven in a short-term hell or pot-luck gone wrong? Both Spurs and Arsenal gave good accounts of themselves, but in very different ways. We assess the angles and angst felt in London whilst Manchester looks forward to another title. Liverpool and Chelsea were also shaken, with poor away performances to opposition that both sides would expect to beat. Is that the problem? Super Sunday Sounds Surprisingly Stimulating(EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | Super Sunday comes but once/twice/thrice/quaice (delete as applicable) a season. So when it does come around we are all used to being very excited by it. But often it can let you down. Well, not this year – we're all interested in the intricate narrative which weaves itself throughout the season. Slicing through City and United. Two teams challenging for the top: London clubs. Spurs and Arsenal. They are the pretenders to the Champion's throne as Manchester looks to retain it, as long as they can annoy the neighbours. Well, it is possible that parties in both London and Manchester will be happy this weekend if the results go the right way. Of course we also review the latest transfer rumours; look at City in the league and QPR in the Cup. Beckham hits Google+ and 'Britain' in the Olympics. Think Inside The Box (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | With the league throwing up more shocks/stumbling blocks this weekend it appears that there is no such thing as a normal season anymore, we can't get a consistent top side and we're all disappointed with a draw…what has the league come to? This requires some inside the box thinking: analysing form and tactics. Pretty much what you'd expect of a podcast. The very least! To do that: Kristan Heneage joins Laurence McKenna to review the games of the weekend. In the lump of football we review London's success, United's return to underwhelming form and the idea that Liverpool are really unimpressive. Arsenal stall, whilst Spurs splutter and Chelsea creak. Midweek Games ARE Good Fun (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | The Premier League shows no sign of slowing up in the coming weeks, even after a hectic holiday schedule. If anything it is getting more intense. So the pod is here to work out where it's all going right for your side. This week Kristan Heneage and Matt Duncan cross-section; Man City and their spending; Liverpool and their lack of confidence; and why Spurs could be a legitimate worry up north. Harry has been tipping other players in the transfer market again and annoying a certain club with his rumblings. Is he within his rights to do that? Especially when there is an cup competition in Africa approaching. Messi won the Ballon d'Or, hooray! Here is a short video to help you appreciate why. Return of the King...kladze FA Cup Weekend (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | In an extended podcast with 4 pundits, scattered around the world we discuss the return of Paul Scholes, Henry and the winning ways of Sir Alex. In Cup news, we have seen some of the most epic FA Cup goals of a generation but very few upsets. The EPL may be strong, but can they sustain such a rush of games so soon after Christmas? Happy New Year (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | On an extended pod we discuss Suarez, Sir Alex and Silva. With the 'topsy-turvy' results which have presented themselves it is clear that this holiday period has been full of surprises, not least for the high-flyers of the EPL. Sir Alex has floated the idea of three more years, does that automatically mean that he will win more titles in that time? Kenny Daglish and Liverpool might have made his job a little easier by taking the title of 'most hated club' away through their protection of Suarez: are they right to do so? Hungover? (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | These match days could be remembered as when United took charge of the league. They've said it once and they'll say it again. Don't count them out. But not all is lost, at least there were some draws in there. This run of games is known for being up and down but if someone can put a run together then it makes the league a lot more interesting. Both Fergie and 'Arry are the two men doing that right now with both Spurs and United putting in convincing performances whilst the rest of them just flounced about with little to show for it. Effectively, no one took charge of the games and it is frustrating. The pod also looks forward to the New Year period and how those games could have an effect on the league. Holiday Glee Begins (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | The glee begins but reality has set in at the FA as Luis Suarez was charged. However the process is far from over. In the first section of the EPL Talk podcast we look at the initial reaction and what might come of the harsh words spoken by all parties. The FA still has a lot to learn about PR… Apart from the news, the football has been excellent, delivering drama and class in equal amounts. We bring that together in section two as Kartik and Kristan get the opportunity to analyse all nine of the games. Annoyingly, it has almost become normal that Manchester rules the roost, so we take a look at the class and cheers being spread around the league. Section three previews Spurs v. Chelsea, a huge derby in the context and a headache for both managers as they try to impose their will on the top four. With injuries in key positions for Harry and a selection headache for AVB who will be 3rd on Christmas day? We also encourage you to listen to Richard Farley's audio documentary for EPL Talk. It is a little Christmas present from the Gaffer. Go to EPLTalk.com for the audio series. It's the most wonderful time of the year, just Premier League matches. Dig, dig, digg (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | The run must come now for some managers. So this pod is to review the weekend which set up the Christmas period. Positivity might rein at the top of the league but nerves will be frayed as injuries and points begin to stack up in someones favour. Kartik and Kristan take an in-depth look at City – Arsenal; Wigan – Chelsea; and Villa – Liverpool. Whilst the rest of the league prepare to catch up with Manchester, what do their fixtures look like? EPL Talk devotes a segment to Manchester and how their Christmas might break down or build up. Then we preview the best of the games in the run-up to Christmas day. Expect a flurry of podcasts between now and then. You'll be positively snowed under with audio. Between now and then, what present would you give a football fan this Christmas? We still need tips... It's the most wonderful time of the year, just Premier League matches. Advent Calendar Mix Up (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | Spurs and Birmingham crash out of Europe, but no one seems to mind: what doesn't kill you…etc. Well it seems that positivity is wide-spread as we climb the hill towards Christmas. Teams are building themselves up. The general consensus is that we can't right anyone off until New Year, January is gonna be interesting! In this week's pod we review City x Chelsea, including the fallout from that game. AVB has been doing better, but decisions have gone his way, whilst Mancini could feel hard-done-by after the run of games he has been stung in. But Man City sit on top of the tree, so in facing Arsenal they have to be the favourites, right? We also preview a 'Super Sunday' which includes United visiting QPR and Liverpool playing Villa. For the rest, there is some stiff competition which Laurence expects will result in open football. The Weekend It All Came Together (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | The big names didn't dominate the league this weekend and it gives a chance to assess what is going on for the rest of the league. It is BEAUTIFUL! Football won out as freedom of the pitch was granted to some of the best strikers of the ball in living memory (Riise missed a few too…) But then the frustration set in and Spurs felt hard-done-by as the referee made some controversial calls which ultimately cost 'Arry and the lads the game. How did you see it? United beat Wolves 4 – 1, but is this a signal that the winds of change are blowing for Fergie? Kristan assesses, whilst Kartik weighs up their rivals. And we preview the Monday night game between Chelsea and City, the Spanish influence on both sides gives this an exciting edge, as we hope for some entertaining visuals. However with both sides desperate to continue their assault on the top of the table could we see some spanish spice spill onto the pitch? Two In, Two Out (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | But which two? Manchester was knocked out of the Champions League, whilst London thrived under pressure. What does this mean for the title race? Why won't anyone criticise Ferguson for his team's problems? United have been poor for almost a month now and most people are wondering where the evaluation of Ferguson will come. We insight conversation, and possibly more, as Jesse worries that United aren't even in the transitional period that promised so much. However, youth is on their side… Chelsea are through, AVB is vindicated on his policy? Strength, power and speed were all at Chelsea's disposal as they demolished Valencia to power through. Will this change their league form? Arsenal make it through too. It feels like there was an inevitability about it now, but at the start of the season: who saw it? And we preview all of the weekend's action. So why not tweet along with the EPLTalk podcast? Share your views and comments as you listen and start a new conversation. Check Yourself, Before You: *Delete as appropiate* (EPL Talk Review Podcast) | We're all very good at rushing to conclusions about our managers. The tone on the EPL Talk podcast is one of understanding, as we get get to grips with Steve Kean, AVB and MO'N. Transition into December and the critical Christmas points approach, all of the managers want to approach this with a run so that the stampede of games which happen between Christmas and New Year don't floor your team. That is why it is critical for the managers and teams to be in harmony as Advent begins. So when it comes to this period we could not have started it any better, everyone is looking forward and approaching their matches with positivity. Christmas in the air and referees were in the giving mood this weekend, handing out cards like they had a mailing list. But who deserved their punishment and who got away with it? The Human Kick (EPL Talk Preview Podcast) | The pod is small this week. We take time to look at Sunderland and their Brucelessness; Liverpool and their Luclessness; and the Carling Cup with it's significance. Cup competitions are a nice punctuation to a season, but what more can it do to boost an ego? We dress this around the basis that the human side of sport is what makes it one of the most endearing sports when it comes to narrative, often without trying to be. Looking forward to next weekend, what do you think is the most significant match? Whilst there are no stand out ties for a "Super-Sunday" it does seem that some teams are desperate to revive their waining season, a step which could be vital before the christmas glut of games. Tribute to Gary Speed (EPL Talk Review) | This EPL Talk podcast is in tribute and includes a tribute to Gary Speed, passing at the age of 42 most regard this as a tragedy in football and on a personal level. Many in and outside of the press were shocked and saddened by the news which broke on Sunday morning. We regard this as a time to mourn and celebrate Gary for his achievements and memories. Our thoughts are with his friends and family. As mentioned in the podcast, here is the Craig Bellamy interview, in which he pays tribute to Gary Speed just a few months ago: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/epl-talk-soccer/id135061239# In this weeks pod we also review the action, starting at Anfield where Roberto met Kenny and Liverpool "dominated" but looked lucky to come away with all eleven men and one point. Super Mario strikes again, but not in a good way… What is wrong with United? Sir Alex can't say, but he can continue to fume about the penalty which gave Alan "Par-du" and his team a draw at Old Trafford. And of course, we look around the rest of the action in the English Premier League. Oh, to be Champions! (EPL Talk Preview) | Arsenal have turned it around! They are the only English club who consider this week a successful folly into the clouds of Europe. United and City both underwhelmed whilst Chelsea were nothing short of dumbfounding in their lack of cohesion. AVB demands that he can motivate his players, but the pod consider what it is like to break the Mourinho mould. Is it a step to far for the man who used to sit on Jose's back room staff? Sunday is already calling for Roberto and Kenny, but whilst the Manc has had to balance Europe with Euphoria Kenny has been focussing on 4pm on Sunday. Steve Clarke will be looking to utilise Liverpool's strengths again, but how will they line up? Kartik and Kristan compare lineups. This week Kevin Harris makes his debut on the podcast. Welcome him on and feedback on twitter. We take the opportunity to chat with him about issues in football and how we can approach them more aggressively. Transition for Chelsea, City, United, Arsenal…etc. (EPL Talk Weekend Review) | After a week of controversy and covering-backsides the EPL got back to business and it was nice to see. It is hard to over-estimate the significance of these results in the season as teams still feel like there is so much ahead of them and still a mixed record behind them. Christmas is the time to set things right and this weekend seems to have set that up quite nicely. Stamford Bridge saw our featured game please Johnson and co. as they walked away with a victory, but we assess how hollow that might feel in the long-term as Chelsea are still making progress and finding out more with each game. Arsenal get their assessment too, can we compare their season to that of Liverpool or United? When we do are they actually compared quite favourably? Give us your feedback as RVP strikes again. United plod on, but they don't look like the dynamic and inventive team who started the season. The strange thing is that no one seems to care; their neighbours are making far too much noise for that. Mancini is breaking out the scarf and City fans are cooling the Champagne as they seem to be the only team with a good history and a bright future in the league. Finally, the pod pays tribute to David Beckham and his achievements in the MLS, what has changed in football in that time? Was he lucky or significant in that change? Racism and Racing to Conclusions (EPL Talk Weekend Preview) | This week saw Luis Suarez charged by the FA, but what does this mean for his career and how we deal with abuse in the game? Suarez maintains his innocence whilst his manager and club stand by him. The task for the FA: working out his intention. It is not to be underestimated how difficult a task this is. To put a happy sheen on a dull week in football Kartik Krishnaiyer has a special announcement. Listen carefully to what he says about England and Fabio Capello, do you agree? The pod also look towards the weekend and biggest clash: Chelsea v. Liverpool, with one allegation on either side who will the football gods favour? Premier League Representation (EPL Talk Podcast Weekend Review) | The Premier League might not be playing right now, but that doesn't stop the players from representing their countries. Taking long flights, scoring or not...and generally making managers nervous about the state of their health. Not least Harry Redknapp. The pod discuss international fixtures and the EPL players involved with a huge number flying aroundthe world to make appearances. Luckily for English representation they only had to make it to Wembley and so we start our analysis there. We talk about Man City's players lining up alongside Englishmen and United's team looking relatively rested. After moving around Europe the pod decides to look at the headlines and then ask for your feedback which will be compiled in a podcast later this week. if you have any views on the season so far then do let us know through: facebook Twitter: Kartik: @kkfla737 Kristan: @kheneage Laurence: @lozcast Email: laurencemckenna@epltalk.com | 13 11 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Which United Tribute? (EPL Talk Podcast Weekend Review) | This week the pod pays tribute to the rise of Newcastle. Tweet along and give us your views. We also look at Sir Alex's 25 years and how influential he has been on the league. Is it coincidence that he shares this anniversary with EPLTalk? 6 Years of EPLTalk, Kartik takes a look back. Don't Count Them Out (Review Podcast) | If this weekend has taught football anything…it is not to write anyone off. Lesson learnt as Chelsea underestimated their London counterparts and came away with more questions than answers. Arsenal fans should be proud of their team, but the pod ask if every week will be like this for Arsene Wenger and his Captain Vantastic. John Terry has made a name for himself, what do you think of him? We discuss his actions and if they make him racist or merely part of a much wider network which makes up British football right now. Discrimination still exists but in what capacity and how do we confront that? Northern teams also kicked a ball this weekend. We look at their progress. Noisy neighbours and discontented old men make comments which they shouldn't and end up offending us all as both United and City get a win. The relegation candidates have also made a case for their salvation, but some monstrous sides have let them down in recent weeks. Have referees served Blackburn well or condemned them to relegation? Are Wigan strong enough up front to survive? Tweet along with the pod as you hear it and let us know your views for midweek. Why Always Me? (EPL Talk Podcast) | In one of the most entertaining weekends in the Premier League this season, there were plenty of talking points for Kartik Krishnaiyer, Jesse Chula and The Gaffer to discuss including Manchester City's thrashing of United, Liverpool's draw against Norwich, the "rugby match" between QPR and Chelsea and much more. A ton of topics were discussed including: where the City win ranks in the history of the club, whether Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is fast becoming a replacement for Theo Walcott, how much United missed Sneijder (or not), whether Chelsea fans should be concerned about their side's disciplinary record, and more. | 23 10 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Marking Up The Manchester Derby | The Preview podcast welcomes Kristan Heneage to focus on Sunderland's management structure as the pod previews the Manchester derby. Who will come out on top? Who will perform? Who has performed so far? Who needs to step up to the plate? Kartik, Jesse and Kristan pick over the Champions League football and what that leaves us with this weekend. Mancini is buoyant whilst Sir Alex is reserved but delightful as always. Both managers are hard to judge, but this one is framed by history and potential in both camps. Jesse looks over his shoulder for United fans and Kartik decides is City can challenge the champions. United Delighted? Cities Impressed (EPL Talk Podcast) | In the pod this weekend there is discussion of racism, flopping and drawing. That's just at Anfield. Sitting in The Kop this week are Jesse Chula and Joseph Weathered, whilst Kartik Krishnaiyer offers his views from inside Starbucks. Up for review: Man City's longevity. Can Mancini's men make it through christmas and more importantly the Manchester Derby with their dignity and their sanity? Sir Alex will have a blunt answer, in the same way that Chicarito did for Liverpool's underwhelming dominance at Anfield as the biggest match in club football ended in a draw. But wait, the league isn't just about the 'Big Four' anymore. Norwich and Swansea make things interesting in the south whilst Newcastle are still punching above their weight. Bolton look buoyant too, but they don't promise half as much as Stoke do. We also look forward to the Champions League and what may come of our prized assets as they square up against the European heavyweights. Derby Delights (EPL Talk Podcast) | The pod focuses on the local clashes this week. The north east and London were both treated to a double bill of local rivalry. We take a look at what a difference local rivalry makes to the league and how geography can change 'just another match'. Referees were at the centre of the controversy this weekend with missed penalty calls and harsh decisions. Is a closer relationship between player and referee necessarily a better thing? Phil Neville doesn't seem to think so. And the pod takes a look at how convincing United were against promoted Norwich, whilst Chelsea flowed past Bolton. Champions League Disruption (EPL Talk Podcast) | The Champions League has made for interesting reading in the EPL recently. The disjunction between league form and european woe has pundits scratching their heads, but Kartik sheds light on the hierarchy at Man City which may be under scrutiny from fans as Mancini looks on in dismay. Neil Bourne makes his EPLTalk debut with a questionable Skype connection but solid views about Manchester United and their performance on Tuesday night. Our man at Old Trafford tries to convey some of the frustration and anticipation which United fans are feeling right now. We preview a great weekend of derby-ness to come. Fixture Luck? (EPL Talk Podcast) | This weekend the pod focuses on the order of games. Does United's draw reflect anything in the league or is this just down to 'luck of the draw' at FA Head-Quarters? Either way, it makes for an interesting narrative-arc in this week's action. Looking forward to the Champions League, Petr Cech claims that Chelsea are obsessed with winning a European Cup, but does the dominance of so many other teams make it yet more impossible for this side? Torres talk continues as he managed to bag himself a goal and then get sent off. Referees had a lot to do with this week's results, but how much influence did they have on the overall flow and pace of play? To cap off another podcast we have a competition. A return to glory? (EPL Talk Podcast) | The Carling Cup has thrown up some interesting situations for our EPL our the past few years. But with so much significance put on the big competitions it can be forgotten. This week's podcast looks at why the League Cup still holds significance for so the league. To start, we digest Owen Hargreaves comments about his rehabilitation at Manchester United. Was he right to speak out now or is this just press hype? Sir Alex will voice his opinion in the Friday press conference but hear what Jesse Chula and Kartik Krishnaiyer have to say before anyone else. We also preview the action to come this weekend. Whilst it isn't a big weekend for 'top of the table' clashes there are going to be some challenges for the top teams in the league. The biggest question is: how will this impact upon league form and momentum built up by the 2011 Top 4? It would seem that a change is as good as a rest for some, will Arsene Wenger welcome his change of location in the stadium? Then we look forward to Saturday and Sunday. With progress in mind, all English teams will be looking to shimmy through the group stages of the Champions League. They join Tottenham Hotspur, who beat Milan last week, by sending Marseille and Copenhagen home. On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast, myself and my co-hosts - Laurence McKenna and Kartik Krishnaiyer - discuss the typical mix-bag from United and the underwhelming display from Chelsea, considering which of their fellow quarterfinalists United and Chelsea will want to avoid, want to draw. We also consider the potential of Spurs. Now that we've seen the knockout round performances of the eight surviving clubs, how far can Spurs go in their first Champions League? We also discuss Jens Lehmann, Michael Jackson, Alex Ferguson and the Europa League fates of Manchester City and Liverpool before looking toward the weekend slate, 10 matches highlighted by the Citizens' trip to Stamford Bridge. The Wrong Kind of Money (Weekend Review): EPL Talk Podcast | Manchesters City and United are slated to meet in the FA Cup semifinals after weekend victories over Reading and Arsenal, with the Royals putting up the better fight. The Gunners were unable to get past a patchwork United side, leaving them with one win in their last 11 meetings with teh Red Devils. They bow out at the quarterfinals as to West Ham United and Birmingham City, with Stoke City and Bolton set to meet in the other semifinal. On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast. myself, Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna discuss the weekend's action, to the extent we were able to do so without driving off course. Busacca'd!!! (Mid-Week Review, Weekend Preview): EPL Talk Podcast | There were two English Premier League matches mid-week, but our main focus of attention was Champions League, where one North London club qualified for the quarterfinals while their rivals were sent home empty handed, jaw slacken. For the second year in a row, Arsenal's Champions League met its end in Barcelona, but whereas it was Lionel Messi that eliminated him last year, many Gooners will content this year's elimination falls at the feet of the official. On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast, myself, Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna talk about the controversial manner by which Arsenal was escorted out of Champions League. Still Since 2002 (Mid-Week Review, Weekend Preview): EPL Talk Podcast | If we learned anything in the wake of the Carling Cup Final, it's that six weeks is a long time. At least, that's what's implied every time Arsenal's silverware drought is evoked. But if six years really is so long in Premier League years, how long is nine, because that's how long it's been since Manchester United won at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea' 2-1 win Tuesday over the league-leaders. To talk about that result, the FA Cup replays, and the upcoming weekend's action, I was joined by my co-hosts, Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna. We focus on what was Chelsea's best performance of 2011 while making our way to a look at this weekend, action that will be dominated by the season's third North West Derby, Manchester United visiting Anfield. | 2 3 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Any Given Sunday (Weekend Review): EPL Talk Podcast | Arsenal's six year drought without silverware persists while a 48-year dry spell ends for Birmingham City on what announcers called the biggest day in the club's history. On Sunday, Brum got an 89th minute goal from Obafemi Martins en route to a 2-1 win over the Gunners and the Carling Cup. Arsenal, on the other hand, saw their defending fail them at a crucial time, something that is sure to give new life to the criticisms heard countless times by this squad. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, myself and co-hosts Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna pay tribute to the Blues' achievement while asking where the loss leaves Arsenal. We also talk about a weekend's worth of action that saw strong results for who relegation battlers while Manchester United restored their four point lead. The Preferred Side Of A Nil-Nil (Mid-Week Show): EPL Talk Podcast | Which side of a nil-nil would you rather be on? It's a serious question, because in Champions League, after one leg, it matters. Taking a 0-0 on the road has entirely different implications than coming back home with one. Yet there's still debate as to which situation is preferred. José Mourinho has said that he doesn't mind the 0-0 at home to open a tie. Alex Ferguson clearly doesn't mind returning to Old Trafford with the same. On this episode of the podcast, in the wake of Manchester United's 0-0 in Marseille, we talk about the strategies behind playing for the second leg. We also talk about Chelsea's performance, a 2-0 win in Copenhagen. Should the first win since Fernando Torres was bought be considered a step forward? We also reflect back on mid-week Premier League action, look forward to this weekend's fixtures, and then shift our focus to Sunday's League Cup final, where Birmingham City has a chance to earn a spot in next year's Europa League. Should the Carling Cup grant entry into Europe? And how important is it that Arsenal's kids finally claim some silverware. FA Cup Break: EPL Talk Podcast | One of the virtues of being a league-focused show is being able to use the FA Cup weekends as a time to reset, take inventory of what's happening around the league, and focus on topics we normally don't have time to address. On this weekend's edition of the show, Kartik Krishnaiyer and myself talk about this weekend's action, results that saw the holders leave the FA Cup, before shifting to looking at the league. We talk time to talk about the clubs jockeying for Europa League spots and ask which of the league's top teams will be the fifth of five, before taking a detailed look at the run-ins for Manchester United and Arsenal, seemingly the two remaining contenders in this season's league. A programming note: The second segment of this show - on in which Kartik and I focused on Champions League - had to be cut from the show for technical reasons. For those looking for the take homes: we both patted ourselves on the back regardin Spurs but also noted the continued slide of Serie A; we both admitted we undersold Arsenal while noting they seemed too self-congratulatory for taking a lead out of the first half; we both feel Chelsea's match with Copenhagen will be an important confidence-boosting opportunity, and neither of us expect Manchester United to deviate from their typical, Champions League, opening leg approach: play conservatively and take the tie back to Old Trafford. | 20 2 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Two Horse Race (Weekend Review): EPL Talk Podcast | A spectacular Wayne Rooney goal capped a 2-1 Manchester United victory Saturday, but did the loss shove the Citizens out of the title race? On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, myself, Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna talk about Saturday's big match, one that keeps United five pionts clear at the top of the league. But although we spend some time talking about this weekend's derby, we take time on this week's show to look at the bottom of the table - a relegation battle that few clubs have been able to escape. Where six of the seven bottom teams got points this weekend, today seemed a good day to catch-up on what's going on at the bottom of the table. Finally, we look at the week's upcoming matches. Chelsea goes to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham on Monday, needing three points to keep pace with Tottenham, no in fourth place. Then, Champions League forces its way back onto the agenda. On Tuesday, Spurs are in Milan while Wednesday brings the Emirates a visit from Arsenal. | 13 2 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

But What About Carlo (Weekend Review Show): EPL Talk Podcast | On a historic weekend of football in the English Premier League - one that saw a record number of Saturday goals, Manchester United's first loss of the season, and a memorable capitulation from Arsenal - the story was Kenny Dalglish; or, the story was Carlo Ancelotti, depending on how you want to look at Sunday's match at Stamford Bridge, a 1-0 win by Liverpool in Fernando Torres's Blues debut. Rarely has their been a case where the difference between the managers mattered so much, but as Ancelotti failed to respond to Dalglish's three central defender set-up, Liverpool was registering what may be a season defining victory. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, myself, Laurence McKenna and Kartik Krishnaiyer talk about that, other stumbles by the league's title aspirants, and West Brom parting with Roberto di Matteo. Considering Escalating Levels of Lunacy: EPL Talk Podcast | Only one of the league's top five stumbled mid-week, with Manchester City being drawn at St. Andrew's, though Tuesday and Wednesday's matches were overshadowed slightly by Wednesday's news, when the best right back in Premier League history announced his retirement. Because the sometimes controversial way Gary Neville went about his business, many will overlook him being a maintain for England and the standard on the right during the young history of the Premier League. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, Kartik Krishnaiyer and myself start with reminiscences of United's former captain. After talking about the midweek results, we turn our attention to Monday, where Fernando Torres and Andy Carroll were the vertices of a historic transfer triangle, one which saw a record-setting move to London, an equally eye-bulging price for his replacement,, and £35 million end up in Newcastle United's pocket. And for all the pounds being thrown around in seemingly crazed last minute buying sprees, club spending may have been sane compared to some of the unimaginative and inaccurate descriptions cast at the latest chapter of "Moneyball." Finally, we turn to the weekend, overlooking the fixture list save Sunday's final kick-off: Liverpool, having prepared for Chelsea midweek by trying a 3-5-2, facing their former talisman at Stamford Bridge. | 2 2 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

For The Love Of Torres (Weekend Review Show): EPL Talk Podcast | The fourth round of the FA Cup saw the league's top four barely survive, though the fifth of the Big Five (Tottenham) met their end at Craven Cottage. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, myself, Kartik Krishnaiyer, and the returning Laurence McKenna discuss the weekend's results, outcomes that failed to producing the type of captivating upset we've come to hope for from our knock-out competitions. With a fifth round draw that fails to pit any of the big boys against each other, is the FA Cup destined to end up in the hands of one of the league's titans? But for the bulk of this show, we'll be talking about the news that's dominated the last day's headlines. As the transfer window closes, the rumor to fact ratio increases. As it concerns Fernando Torres, the stories surrounding his potential move to Chelsea have been confirmed as more truth than lie. We discuss the deteriorating link between Torres and Anfield and where the Reds go from here. And finally, we look to mid-week, where a Tuesday fixture list sees Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea with difficult challenges to their title quest. One note: In the show, we mistakenly refer to the FA, not the League, as having handed Ian Holloway a fine. | 30 1 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The AVFC club record acquisition did not come without controversy, with accusations of tapping-up and an acrimonious response from Sunderland supporters clouding the days after the deal's completion. FA Cup Third Round Review Show: EPL Talk Podcast | The FA Cup's full weekend came an went in the show of the new around Anfield Park, where Roy Hodgson and Liverpool mutually agreed to part ways before the Reds took the pitch Sunday at Old Trafford. There, Howard Webb tilted the match, giving a dubious second minute penalty. When Steven Gerrard saw straight red just after the half-hour mark, Liverpool was on their way out of the FA Cup, their 1-0 loss to Manchester United a sour return to the bench for King Kenny Dalglish. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, myself and Kartik Kirshnaiyer look back at the weekend that was in English football, focusing on the Premier League sides' roles in the third round of the FA Cup. FA Cup Weekend, Early Transfer Rumors: EPL Talk Podcast | The English Premier League takes a weekend off as English football shifts its focus to the FA Cup, the third round of which happens this weekend. We start today's show, the second half of a discussion we had on Wednesday, by looking toward this weekend, specifically Liverpool's trip to Manchester United, though that quickly descended into discussion of Liverpool and how important Sunday's result will be to Roy Hodgson's job and the club. In addition, we talk about Ronaldinho and Blackburn, David Beckham and Spurs, as well as Robbie Keane at Birmingham City. It's not our typical preview show. It's more of a long, less structure chat, something different for this week's edition of our lead-in show. | 6 1 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

English Premier League Review, Mid-Week: EPL Talk Podcast | Only one of the English Premier League's top six clubs entering mid-week action came away with three points from Tuesday and Wednesday fixtures, and unfortunately for those looking for the title race to stay as close as possible, that club was league-leading Manchester United, winning 2-1 on Tuesday versus Stoke. While Manchester City enticed Arsenal to a 0-0, Wednesday draw at the Emirates, both Tottenham and Chelsea lost (to Everton and Wolves), with Bolton drawing at home to Wigan. Making his return to the EPL Talk podcast, Kartik Krishnaiyer joins Laurence McKenna and myself to talk about those results, the title race, whether Chelsea is in it, and what of Liverpool after the Reds' 3-1 loss at Ewood Park. This is the first of two shows we'll distribute to end the week. The second, released tomorrow, will look forward to the third round of FA Cup action as well as discuss some of the more eye-opening rumors from the early transfer window. | 5 1 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

English Premier League Weekend Review Show: EPL Talk Podcast | Manchester United's kept their spot at the top of the league, no matter how many times Gary Neville tried to give it away. Macnehster City's even on points after their win over Blackpool, while Arsenal was convincing at a St. Andrews' Stadium that's often inhospitable to visitors. On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast, myself, Laurence McKenna and Jesse Chula (filling in for the infirmed Kartik Krishnaiyer) and talk about the weekend that was in our favorite football league. Are Chelsea still a title contenders? How much will Joe Cole's goal mean to Liverpool? What do Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Everton, and Fulham need to do to turn around their seasons? We talk about all this plus looking back on 2010, naming out XIs of the season as well as out top players, kids, coaches and moments. English Premier League Weekend Review, Luke Moore Interview: EPL Talk Podcast | There wasn't much to talk about around the Premier League this weekend. Not only did seven of nine fixtures meet with postponement, but none of the league's top five teams were in action. As a result, our normal weekend review show that strains to make it in under an hour has no material, so aside from a brief conversation between myself and co-host Laurence McKenna, we shift focus. On thie edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, The Football Ramble's Luke Moore joins me to discuss the Blackburn coaching position, his support of a newly relegated club (Portsmouth), Carlo Ancelotti's stewardship of Chelsea, Spurs' title hopes, Champions League, and how history will remember this Barcelona side. Luke was kind enough to join me last Friday for a longer interview, parts of which will be released in the coming month. Today, we hear he joins us to help fill in the gaps left my an orphaned Premier League weekend. | 19 12 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

English Premier League Weekend Review: EPL Talk Podcast | Chelsea visit to Tottenham Hotspur highlighted a nine match weekend in the Premier League, with an erratic performance from Heurelho Gomes gifting the Blues an equalizer, denying a match winner in the 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane. That the reqult allowed Manchester City, 3-1 winners at Upton Park, to sit joint top of the table ahead of tomorrow's marquee match, Arsenal's visit to Manchester United, where the winner will gain first place in the English Premier League after 17 rounds. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, I am joined by Kartik Krishnaiyer to discuss those matches as well as the rest of the fixtures in weekend Premier League action. We take extra time to talk about Spurs-Chelsea, from Carlo Ancelotti's plan to stop Gareth Bale, John Terry's strong performance, to the overlooked Petr Cech. In addition, we talk about Carlos Tévez's attempt to leave Manchester City before moving on to Monday's match, breaking down the particulars of the season's first Manchester United-Arsenal meeting, looking back at the last two years to try and figure out what United's likely to due, asking if it even matters against an Arsenal site that has lacked the mentality to down the Devils. Mid-Week Review, Weekend Preview: EPL Talk Podcast | All four English Premier League clubs in UEFA Champions League are through to the knock-out round, though not all advancements are made the same. Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea topped their groups, but thanks to Arsenal finishing second in Group H, the Gunners can be drawn against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid or Barcelona in the Round of 16. To talk about how the league's clubs faired in Champions League, I was joined on Wednesday by Kartik Krishnaiyer to review the mid-week action as well as look forward to this weekend, when Chelsea's visit to Spurs will give a stumbling Blues side another chance to turn their ship around. | 8 12 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

English Premier League Weekend Review: EPL Talk Podcast | With Manchester United's match in Blackpool postponed and Chelsea being drawn by Everton at the Bridge, Arsenal's win over Fulham sent the Gunners top, with Samir Nasri vaulting himself into the league's elite. On a team level, Manchester City may have done the some, with their 1-0 win over Bolton underscored by their more creative display of football this season. On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast, myself, Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna talk about that, the rest of the league's fixtures, World Cup second-guessing, as well as the upcoming, mid-week Champions League action - the final round of the competition's group stage. | 5 12 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

English Premier League Weekend Preview: EPL Talk Podcast | We go into the 16th match day with a new outlook in the title race. Only a couple of weeks ago we were narrowing our eyes toward the two team race. Now our whites are exposed to five at the top in what is playing out as an unprecedentedly open title race. On this edition of the EPL Talk Podcast, co-host Laurence McKenna and myself graze across this Huxleyian landscape and try to provide a map for the coming weekend. Along the way, we talk some Carling Cup, gab about squad news, pontificate on the England media's Beckham adoration, and reveal who was on the back of our first jerseys. We might talk about the World Cup bids, too. Not much, though. On this show, we try to focus on league. It's the latest edition of the EPL Talk Podcast. | 1 12 10 | Free | View In iTunes |

English Premier League Weekend Review: EPL Talk Podcast | For the first time this season, Chelsea ended a match day below first place. That's quite an accomplishment - sitting atop the table for the first 14 match days - but it won't get as many column inches as Dimitar Berbatov's trick, becoming the fourth Premier League player to score five goals in one match. On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast, we talk about Berbatov's feat and take inventory of what might be an unprecedentedly deep title race. But amongst the league's leaders, they weren't alone in their struggles, with Manchester United and Manchester City being drawn. Only top at the top able to get three were the Gunners, impressive at Goodison, while Bolton, Spurs, and Stoke - yes, Stoke - round out the winners from the league's top half. English Premier League Preview, Mid-Week Review: EPL Talk Podcast | For the second consecutive match day, the English Premier League has given us a slate full of close, exciting matches. Whether it be a back-and-forth affair at Villa Park, leads being given-up and reclaimed at the Britannia, gifted equalizers at White Hart Lane or dramatically salvaged points at Goodison, the league was full of compelling fixtures. And those don't even cover the match we were all looking at: a Manchester Derby at Eastlands that was both compelling (for the match-up, the tactics) and disappointing (negative tactics and a 0-0). On this edition of the EPL Talk podcast, Laurenca McKenna and I not only go over the results of England's 13th match day but also cast a snark-laden gaze toward the weekend's action, trying to decide which is a more worthy Match of the Week: United's trip to Villa Park, or Arsenal's visit to Goodison.
