Sarah Campbell, Amy Hoggart, Matt Highton, Nish Kumar | And in this bumper episode (it's as long as a whole X Files) we ventured to Pattie Brewster's Friendship Venture at the Camden Head, Camden, to see Pattie's (Amy Hoggart) sweet but scary attempts to get closer to her audience. It was a brill night of utter charm and oddness, which you can get a glimpse of this Friday February 10th at Laugh Out London at the Camden Head, where Pattie will be performing along with other odd-shaped balls like Ben Target and Adam Larter. During the course of a lovely evening we managed to chat with Amy's partner in sketch group Christmas For Two, Sarah Campell, who mainly talked about her Virgin problems. The Gentlemen of Leisure's Nish Kumar also gave us some more words, including exciting adventures coming up at the Camden Comedy Crawl as well as in the British Museum. It was another welcome return to the podcast too for Matt Highton. Never mention peas around him. And, of course, we chat to the woman behind it all - the lovely Amy Hoggart. | 7 2 12 | Free | View In iTunes |

Comedy Crawl Part II - Michael Legge, Isy Suttie, Danielle Ward, The Gentlemen of Leisure | On the same day Osama Bin Laden set the World Hide and Seek record at 9 and a half years (you've a while to go Madeline McCann) we celebrated surviving day one of the Camden Comedy Crawl by doing it all over again. We managed to talk to TV funnyperson and comedy guitarist sort, Isy Suttie (you know, Dobbie from Peep Show) and her BFF Danielle Ward (who wrote the comedy musical Gutted) on a busy Camden street. Topics of discussion include how to become Isy's best friend, Danielle's Territorial Army rank and the Welsh for microwave. The highly educated Gentlemen of Leisure were also kind enough to share their time with us, to talk culture and puns involving The Libertines and comedy (Don't Luke Benson Back Into The Sun). This stemmed from Tom Neenan's eagle eyes spotting Pete Doherty ambling down a street, before being mobbed by Camden sorts and then having an interaction with a taxi driver. WitTank also popped by for a bit too. Michael Legge was improvising at the Theatro Technis throughout the day, and we chatted to him about wedding mistakes, wellies and shouting. It was a proper tops day too, which ended getting very sweaty with John Luke Roberts, Nas Osmanoglu and Frisky & Mannish upstairs at the Camden Head. How wonderful. | 2 5 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Comedy Crawl Part I - Tiernan Douieb, Bec Hill, Humphrey Ker | So, as with Prince William on his special day, I spend most of the first part of the the Camden Comedy Crawl covered in tomato juice (word of warning - don't bite directly into a cherry tomato). Anyway, Laugh Out London soldiered on and managed to enjoy the inaugural urban laughter festival, speaking to some of the performers including Tiernan Douieb, who was holding fort at Belushi's throughout the day (and drinking a whole weekend's rider in one night according to Twitter rumour. Also hunted down with our special podcasting nets was the Penny Dreadful's Humphrey Ker, who was improvising his way throughout the day along with Laura Solon, David Reed and Andy Pugsley. Bec Hill also turned up in our nets after an excellent set upstairs at the Camden Head, where we all learned a little more about soy beans. With intent to bring you all sides of the Crawl though, Laugh Out London doesn't just feature the gag magi behind the jokes. No, we also speak to Bex Colwell - a very lovely PR sort in the comedy world who was helping bring the magic to the media. The charming @comedynerd from the Twitter, Carol Fanning, also gave us the comedy fan perspective. A little plug for Carol's sketch group, Question 17, who will be at Tom Webb's Party Piece on May 10th at the Queen's Head in King's Cross. That's not the same Queen's Head that Laugh Out London's comedy night is held on May 6th. The Queen has many heads, like a hydra. We also saw lots of funny people we didn't speak to including Dan Antopolski, Pippa Evans (as Loretta May), Jay Foreman, Max and Ivan, William Andrews and a whole load more. I mean, loads. It's a good festival. | 30 4 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Clever Peter, Spencer Jones, Chris Coxen - Bob and Jim's Sunday Best | Someone: What's that? A Laugh Out London podcast without a hitch? You must be joking emperor! Emperor: No. I am not joking. The emperor is not joking! Celebrate. For yes, we have done and recorded a podcast with no technical problems I have spotted so far. I've even done some compression and normalisation so it should sound even sexier than usual. Thanks Audacity! Anyway, this podcast saw us head to the truly brilliant working man's, pork pie and blazer experience that is Bob and Jim's Sunday Best at the Cavendish Arms near Stockwell - next one is May 15th! While there, we managed to talk to primary coloured sketch chaps Clever Peter, including how best to tackle heckles when in character. They (well one of them anyway) will be at the Great Big Sketch Off this weekend, which you really should go to if you care about things. Elsewhere, we have a chat with the lovely, lovely, lovely 'character comic' Spencer Jones who once dressed up as a baby on CBBC. And Bostonian man of a thousand weirdos, Chris Coxen, makes a welcome appearance too. All in all, a fab showing. Jack even natters on about a magical Subbutteo table he had as a child. Can you feel the entertainment? | 19 4 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Where we meant to talk to Lewis Schaffer/gig listings | The curse of Laugh Out London has struck again, and another vital file has been corrupted! Namely, the one where we actually spoke to the person we wanted to speak to for our podcast. Namely, Lewis Schaffer. Namely, something or someone which has a name. Disaster! As it was actually quite an interesting (and cold) interview in the streets of Soho where we question if God killed Bill Hicks and why English people like Americans who criticise English people more than Americans who like English people. I agreed with one point more than the other. Anyway, you still get us, ie. me and Jack, talking about other things and unveiling a new feature - a selection of upcoming gigs you should go to. These include one-line roller-blading laughatron Gary Delaney at both Big Smoke Comedy and The Funny Side on April 20th; the return of the Joke Shop at the Albert and Pearl on April 21st; the Great Big Sketch Off at Pleasance Theatre on April 24th; Simon Munnery bringing back Andy Kaufman's intergender wrestling; and some BBC thing I can't be bothered to find. Enjoy! | 16 4 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

Beta Males, Late Night Gimp Fight, Max and Ivan | We are back to the comedy interview/review set up again, after a visit to an evening of sketch show fabness at the Wilmington Arms and we bring you 3 fantastic chats with 3 fantastic acts in this podcast. We have the hosts of the evening, the Beta Males, four smart chaps with the witty, quippy capers that touch on real melancholy. And cardboard trains. We also bring you Max and Ivan, whose comedy narrative spoof of Sherlock Holmes mixed great literature and sweat. Also making an appearance was that old Radio 4 favourite - the white, middle-class rap (but properly good in that both guys could actually rap remarkably well and it was funny and everything). And closing both the podcast and the how, it's Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominees, Late Night Gimp Fight, who look pretty good in stockings. Also, this podcast should be noted for Jack having a bit of a breakdown and talking about shaving razors for about 2 minute more than is ever necessary. The weirdo. | 7 4 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Giggling Gibbon - Jim Campbell, Liam Williams, John Kearns | We went on a satisfying trip to the excellent Giggling Gibbon evening at the Compass, Angel. We managed to talk to the fantastic Jim Campbell (who does the Football Ramble podcast); Liam Williams (he ain't got no love for double negatives); and John Kearns (he's the hairiest agony aunt you'll ever see). And not only that, but we have a few live snippets of the evening to tease your silly nips right off. Anyway, the Giggling Gibbon is the last Wednesday of every month, with the next one on April 27th. You should go! | 1 4 11 | Free | View In iTunes |

The Joke Shop - Albert & Pearl | It's the birth of Laugh Out London! With Jack De'Ath recently moved to the Big Ass Smoke Joint, as we locals call it, we went out looking for comedy and found some delights at the Albert and Pearl by Highbury and Islington tube. It was The Joke Shop - held every other Thursday (next one is Thursday March 24th) with the wonderful Lizz Hobbs compering. A host of hilarious faces and bodies came out to say funny things and walk about in funny ways, including Pat Cahill, Jeff Leach and, he of the very small face, Trevor Lock. We talk about how it was and if we enjoyed it. We did enjoy it. You should still listen though. | 17 3 11 | Free | View In iTunes |
