Bello e maturo
Questo quarto album dei The Wimshurst's Machine si può suddividere in tre parti:
a-ambient/chillout più "commerciale" (brani da 1 a 6) dove l'influenza dello smooth jazz è preponderante. Eccellenti collaborazioni con Sally Cooper e Corrado Rossi rendono imperdibile questi brani dalle atmosfere sensuali.
b-ambient (in stile Vangelis, come in Albedo) nella suite "Moonshadows", dove l'ambient è usata a costruire una colonna sonora non invasiva.
c-classica (nella suite Secret Garden) dove a brani classici tradizionali (Bach, Handel, Mesomede) rieseguiti in versione "Wimshurst" si aggiungono nuove composizioni sempre in stile "classico".
In generale un album composito, sempre interessante, dove la colonna sonora (i TWM ne compongono parecchie) si unisce alla musica più "commerciale" in modo unico.
Consigliato.
Imperdibile!
Ancora un Album imperdibile, ricco di immagini sonore davvero coinvolgenti...
Questa band sorprende per la capacità di creare sempre nuovi elementi pur rimanendo fedele ad uno stile molto particolare.
Bellissime esecuzioni, atmosfere magiche: i TWM ci prendono per mano e ci conducono in un mondo fantastico, dove sinuose tracce Chillout si evolvono in aperture Ambient per giungere ad una fusione con la Classica in esecuzioni davvero interessanti. Da non perdere!
