The Ones I Love
Ottimo disco e straordinaria interpretazione vocale di Maydie Myles. Kiss of Love di Sade viene reinterpretata in modo magistrale dando un ritmo e un'anima degno di questa grande vocalist. Maydie nasce come vocalist Gospel ( a quel tempo chiamata Debbie ) ma fin da giovane ama il R&B, e contro il volere dei genitori, si spinge a cantare in diversi locali con un proprio gruppo e in seguito con altri più famosi. Blues Brothers Band, Jimmy Mc Griff, The Holmes Bros, Cornelius Bumpus and Jessie "Wild Bill" Austin sono i gruppi e Artisti con cui canta e ottiene il successo dovuto. "Check Yourself" con Isaac Hayes and Devid porter e "Never gonna let him Know" sono i pezzi più conosciuti e che le hanno dato una notorietà internazionale. Ritengo sia un'artista da vere nella propria discografia. LV
