The best part is, it could be your friend's word, or a random opponent's word, or you're challenging yourself to a solo game.
People playing Word vs Word describe it as a combination between a classic crossword puzzle, a word search and a good ol' game of hangman. There are different levels that make it fun for anyone. You can choose from an easy three-letter game or a challenging eight-letter word. SOLO GAME & WORD LIST
One of the great things about Word vs Word is not only can you play your friends and other random opponents, you can also play solo games. In our latest version, we improved this part of the game based on players' feedback. We updated our Word List so that you're now only trying to figure out commonly used words.

Yeah! - A New Version
We want to thank everyone for the great feedback and suggestions on ways to make Word vs Word more fun to play. Here is a list of things that changed with this version:
- You can control the game sounds in the app under the Settings area.
- Now if a player does not play for two weeks (14 days), the person who played the last word will automatically win the game. You no longer have to Quit a game and mess up your game stats. We know this will make a lot of you happy.
- Some players were having a hard time tapping the Toggle Buttons at the top the gameboard, so we fixed this issue.
- And, we cleaned up a couple other random bugs.
