Community Cohesion in an Era of Super Diversity - Ted Cantle, iCoCo | Ted Cantle is Professor of Community Cohesion at the Institute of Community Cohesion (iCoCo). In this Professorial Lecture he discusses how Community Cohesion emerged as a new policy framework for race and diversity issues just over 9 years ago. Since then it has been widely adopted by statutory and voluntary agencies and more latterly by businesses. The 23,000 schools in England are now under a duty to promote community cohesion and programmes to tackle prejudice and intolerance, reduce inequalities and to more positively promote belonging and the benefits of diversity, are evident in just about every neighbourhood.
