CreatureCast is a collaborative blog produced by members of the Dunn Lab at Brown University, along with assorted friends. This project, which is focussed on zoology in the broad sense, serves as a forum to present original content that we have produced and observations by others that we find interesting and beautiful. Science for all
I have science degrees and am preparing to begin a PhD. These podcasts are still novel and informative for someone with my body of biological knowledge.
However, non-scientists should not be intimidated. The part of me that gets tickled the most by the podcasts is my inner child. The sense of wonder gets fired up every time. The team at CreatureCast does a superb (and very difficult) job of translating science into plainspeak without losing the valuable information in the process.
Hats off to you.

When I first saw this I thought that it was really cool. I was scrolling through, going through the different videos when I came across a video that held the answer to a question I had had for years. I was looking around at all of the marine life trapped in the deep grooves of the rocks when I came across three gelatinous, creatures with rainbow bands on minute stripes across the organisms bodies. I took a picture with a disposable camera that never developed right. From then on I was on a search to uncover what these weird jellyfish-like creatures were. When I saw the ctenophores videos, heard the organism's description, and their home range, I knew that I had found the organisms identities at last. Thank you so much for ending my almost three year long quest!!
