The inaugural Duke-Russia Business Forum took place in Moscow on July 4, 2007. More than a hundred senior industry leaders joined our faculty in a discussion of the challenges facing global business and the unique cast these issues take in Russia. From issues of energy security to financial services, the Russian economy provides a rich context in which leaders can deepen their understanding of global business phenomena. The conference enabled participants in Russia to interact with leaders in industry and academia. Keynote speakers included Ruben Vardanian, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Troika Dialog, and Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business Dean Blair Sheppard, a globally recognized expert in leadership. At the conclusion of the forum, participants enjoyed a networking reception for the Duke community in Moscow.
