Description
Today over 3.3 billion people, more than half the world's population, live in urban areas. It is increasingly evident that urban living is having a negative impact on the health of women and girls. We must better understand the complex relationship between urban living and the health of women with the goal of developing innovative solutions that make urban communities universally safer, cleaner, and more livable. Healthy Cities: Healthy Women - New York City and Urban Women's Health was held May 5, 2011 in New York City, and was sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Penn Alumni, and The Trustees' Council of Penn Women.
