Ross discussed the different attempts that have been made at negotiating a resolution between Israel and Palestine. He described the critical role that context plays in generating a plan for resolution–a good plan in the wrong context will not work. With that concept in mind, Ambassador Ross outlined his hybrid plan, combining negotiations with on-the-ground actions. He believes that this combination will help overcome the pessimism—held by both populations--that surrounds the possibility of resolution. Ambassador Ross’ overarching belief is that a one-state solution will breed conflict and thus the two-state model is the only constructive solution. April 20, 2012 | 4/24/12 | Free | View In iTunes |
