Martin Luther King, Jr. was the most famous black orator in history. But he was hardly alone. For generations, African Americans have been demanding justice and equality, reminding America to make good on its founding principles of democracy. Frederick Douglas???
I thought the collection was well done. I am appreciative to Apple for allowing the opportunity of these great voices to be heard ( for free!!). As to the statement regarding the exclusion of Frederick Douglas... He wrote secretive papers during slavery (1800's). I doubt if they had microphones and recordings readily available to anyone, let alone African Americans. I do however empathize with your desire!
Missing a great orator
How do you have a collection of great African American speeches without including Frederick Douglas?

A look at black patriotism from the beginning. I wish this collection included more words from brother Malcolm X but in times where black history is dumbed down so much a little is alot. May the truth spread to the ears of those who do not listen to the truth..
