I am very grateful for this class audio made available for free on iTunes. Moisés Silva is a very interesting teacher to listen to. I found myself anticipating eagerly each following lecture. Silva has an excellent understanding of Biblical history, interpretation, and the role of language. Silva provides valuable insights into historical background, brings out some problems with understanding the New Testament, discusses some aspects of textual criticism, and gives a balanced, careful approach to dealing with the New Testament faithfully. I have never been enrolled in Seminary, but have been involved in evangelism and a small church plant, and I have found these lectures highly beneficial for helping me learn to better understand and accurately handle God's Word. I would recommend them to any preacher. After hearing these lectures, I am now looking forward to hearing more of what Silva has to say, and am interested in reading his books.
