A Place in the Sun continues the trend established on the previous Kiss of Life, as the Penelopes' sound grows increasingly reliant on keyboard textures; songs like "Golden Summer," "Friends" and "The Real Her" maintain the quality of previous albums, although more experimental tracks like "Man From the Insular Space Act I," while admirable, fail to measure up to the high standard set by the more conventional tunes. Still, another fine record.
