Brothers Ben and Max Ringham and friend Andrew Roland founded Superthriller in 2003 as an offshoot of their multimedia performance group Shunt. They released a handful of well-received 7" singles before their debut, Superthriller 1, hit the shelves in 2005. Well-received and certainly hip, the album made a nice buzz and, legend has it, was discovered during a Paris record-shopping spree by Beck — who subsequently asked Superthriller to support him on his 2005 European tour.
