Recorded and released in 2008, the live album Gijonymo captures Japan’s veteran synth pop trio Yellow Magic Orchestra in performance in Gijon, Spain. Ambient electronic pioneer Christian Fennesz joins YMO for a set featuring primarily new material, with most selections coming from their Human Audio Sponge or Sketch Show projects. A handful of classic YMO tracks — including "You've Got to Help Yourself" and "Cue" — are also performed.
