世界初の「ホーボー」写真集『The HOBO STYLE』は、Porter Classicとアメリカ・アイオワ州のホーボー美術館により共同制作された。その写真集をiPad用アプリに編集し直したものが「The HOBO STYLE - for iPad」。全40ページ。

"The HOBO STYLE - for iPad" is an application re-edited from "The HOBO STYLE" for iPad. "The HOBO STYLE" was created by Porter Classic and The Hobo Museum in Britt, Iowa. The application consists 40 pages of hobo artifacts from the past.


株の大暴落が原因で大恐慌を迎えた1930年代のアメリカ。
失業者は増え、職は減った不況の時代に、
貨物列車などに飛び乗り州から州へと職を探した移動労働者たち、
「ホーボー」は生まれた。

A "hobo" is someone who hops on freight trains, in search of work.
During the Great Depression era of the 1930's, the number of hoboes in America increased and reached its peak.With not much work available at home, men and women travelled from state to state trying their luck elsewhere.


This app is dedicated to all the classic hoboes, and to hoboes of the future.
