You'll Cringe, You'll Laugh, You'll Watch It More Than Once

For me, the most surprising aspect of "Dracula's Daughters vs. the Space Brains" is how beautiful it looks. I'd expected schlock that looked as if it had been shot with an iPhone. Instead, DDVSB is as beautiful as a zillion-dollar Hollywood blockbuster. Complementing the beauty of the cinematography is the conviction of Neil Patrick Harris's performance. He doesn't behave as though he's performing in a horror flick. Instead, he presents his character as truly experiencing the thing that happens to him...and then believing even more in getting revenge. In addition to the art, there's a scene that is guaranteed to make you cringe and then laugh, and then another scene that's absolutely hilarious, flap, flap, flap. See "Dracula's Daughters vs. the Space Brains" to have a good time.

Good little movie

I thought this was a very fun movie - too bad it wasn't longer. It is reminiscent of some of the old classics with the added intrigue of some very attractive and talented actors and special effects. Neil Patrick Harris is always good - and the two women do a good job also. The dark haired one is especially beautiful and convincing. It's got a little unexpected ending that makes it worth watching.
I recommend it - I think you'll like it.

a little disappointed...

i bought this just so i could watch neil patrick harris because i love him and i found this disappointing. nph is so amazing and deserves a gig better than this. i hope he was just doing this for fun.
