Helemaal mee eens oops....
De stem van Hay klinkt erg vlak, dat valt nu des te beter op naast dat geweldige Metropole orkest. Alleen al met zijn versie van 'Can we still be friends' valt hij behoorlijk door de mand.Ik vraag me af hoeveel mensen weleens de fantastische originele versie van Todd Rundgren gehoord hebben....nee, dit doet allemaal erg gekunsteld en geforceerd aan.
Terug naar zangles
Wat ik hier hoor maakt pijnlijk duidelijk wat voor matige zanger Hay eigenlijk is. Hij zingt konsekwent 'tegen de toon aan' en haalt daarmee de grote klasse van het Metropole Orkest naar beneden. Het klinkt allemaal erg krampachtig en geforceerd. Laten liggen die plaat!
Jammer
Barry mist diepte en de echte jazzsound in zijn stem om dit waar te kunnen maken. Het lijkt wel of hij zelf niet helemaal happy is met deze sound, zo klinkt het. Nog even dooroefenen, en gewoon echt live opnemen, en niet in de studio.
