Great album !
Young musician and composer Tineke Postma has been around for quite some time now. In the past eight years she has shown her extraordinary talent, together with her Quartet (Marc van Roon, Frans van der Hoeven and Martijn Vink). She has won several prestigious international awards and the British paper ”The Evening Standard” recently coined her as ”One of the leading ladies in Jazz!” Her phrasing can be complex but the compositions always remain light and adventurous. Her voice on the alto- and soprano saxophone is characteristic and beautifully framed. A joy to listen to and definitely a great album!
