Carwell is black, Cox is white (just to clarify). Sue Ann sang in Enterprise with Morris, right before The Time was created. I believe she recorded a version of Prince's Make It Through The Storm (I've seen her mentioned as P's first "protege"). Her connections with Jesse go back to that time in Enterprise. Jesse produced more than half of her 1988 solo album "Blue Velvet" and all of her most recent album "Blues In My Sunshine" from 2010. She is the main bkgd vocalist on Verbal Penetration as well.
