An instant classic
Just got this album this morning in New Zealand, and have put it on, instantly it has reminded me of how muscially tight U2 are as a band. They may have done some experimenting with this album with the likes of synthesisers but this time it seems to have paid off, as it is a more classic U2 sound, If you enjoyed How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, you will really enjoy this. A few anthemic songs in this album.
Just released - U2 at their best
Released for kiwis only today this amazing album was at one point going to actually be split over two albums - thankfully the boys saw the light and combined this into a album that shows U2 are still at their best... Its been a long wait since the awesome HTDAAB in '04 - Get on Your Boots has been receiving good radio play in NZ and is a great song but check out Magnificent and White as Snow for U2's newer offerings -
Brilliance has been born (again)
When I heard GOYB I was a bit worried about the new album, the song is very good but not as great as I expected. Anyway all my worries were put to ease when I heard the new album. This is definitely a grower for people who aren't BIG U2 fans but in my eyes it is another masterpiece. This album will go down in history as a classic right next to the Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby. The greatest songs on this album are, Moment of Surrender, Breathe, Unknown Caller and Magnificent. Very well done boys, very well done!!!!
