Reckless Racing 2 4+

Great fun, nice controls and, might be a personal preference thing, but I found the game a lot easier when I turned on the use chase camera option.

So much content. So many vehicles. So many tracks.
I cannot speak highly enough of this game. A MASSIVE STEP UP from reckless racing 1 (which is a brilliant game also).
This is an extremely well polished production.
Customizable controls are a touch of genius. Once you get the controls set up to suit you it's very easy to control.
This game gets better and better the more you get into it.

The graphics are beautiful.

My ONLY criticism is: At the start of each race it says "Tap to Begin", but it makes you wait about 2 seconds before you can actually "Tap to Begin". In a production this good, don't say it if it ain't true.

This is a fun game and could be a great game but for a few niggling problems. The most annoying is the hot laps which occur every so often in career mode. In theory they are great fun, the winner is the person who recorded the fastest lap out of 3 laps. But unfortunately there appears to be a bug as the third lap (which is often my fastest) doesn't count. And of course the first lap is from a standing start so it is usually slower. So effectively you race three laps BUT only the second lap actually counts. I've seen a few upgrades come out since I bought RR2 and this bug persists.

The other issues are minor, occasional jittering on an iPad 1, most car upgrades not making any difference to the car's appearance (reasonable for engine upgrades but it would nice to have different tires show for example) and you are always racing against the same 5 opponents who all have the same spread of car power. To elaborate, there is always one opponent with maximum car specs for the race, going down to the bottom 2 opponents who are so underpowered as to have no chance. It would be much more interesting if the opponents varied and occasionally all 5 opponents were fairly competitive.

However it is fun and I wouldn't have a problem giving it 5 stars if they fixed the hot laps as they can wreck a cup.
